“Arrrr great sailing adventure!”
Reviewed March 9, 2014

5 of us chartered Captain Rick and Cindy Lou's Tortuga catamaran and we had a great adventure! We were welcomed aboard and the only decisions we had to make were what delicious things to eat, how long to snorkel and swim, and when to apply sun screen. The trip was the highlight of our 5 days in Key West! If Captain Rick offers you his conch ceviche, do not resist - it is delicious! Cindy Lou was a fabulous underwater guide - finding a shark, lobster, and many colorful fishies to observe. There was plenty of space to lounge in the sun, and plenty of shade to escape and just feel the sea breeze on your face. Thanks to the captain and first mate!

We so enjoyed all of you as well and stoked that you find my ceviche a tasty one. We will look forward to seeing you all again and maybe this next go around we’ll can head out to the Marquesas for a few days and get into some serious “fresh fish” dinners!

“Best day of our vacation!”
Reviewed March 8, 2014

Our group of 5 booked a 3/4 day trip on the Tortuga and it was the best day of our vacation in Key West. Prior to leaving the dock, Captain Rick gave us a tour of the boat and First Mate Cindy Lou set up a nice healthy breakfast of fresh fruit, yogurt and bagels with multiple spreads. They are down to earth and friendly people who were fun to chat with all day. It really does feel like you're out sailing with friends. We had a great day snorkeling, swimming and just relaxing. Cindy Lou also set up a nice, simple, healthy lunch and afternoon snacks--we all enjoyed the food. There's plenty of sunny area on the boat for sunbathing but also plenty of shade for when you need a break. The boat was incredibly clean and obviously well cared for.

I think this trip could be summed up as getting what you pay for. All we had to do was show up with our personal items and the rest of the day was completely taken care of. No decisions to make, no stress, just a perfect day on the water. You will not regret spending the day with Captain Rick and Cindy Lou! Thank you from Lisa, Tim, Bob, Dorothy and Muggsy :)

“Exquisite Sunset aboard Tortuga”
Reviewed November 1, 2013

This was my second Tortuga charter with Captain Rick and the lovely First Mate, Cindy Lou. We spent the day exploring reefs and cruising around the island. Captain Super got us on some awesome coral tops and Cindy Lou was so much fun in the water, helpful and supportive of our beginner's dive skills and expertly identifying the marine life for us. The Tortuga has been totally cherried out since my cruise last year. It was stellar then...it is even more so now. Everything is pristine, impeccable and sumptuously appointed. The guest stateroom linens, down comforters and cloud-like pillows gave me the most blissful nap of my life and fortified from that we dined on board, enjoying a delicious gourmet sunset meal prepared by our crew with fresh caught fish and local veggies. yummy and romantic. Rick and Cindy Lou are the most knowledgeable and congenial hosts and we will treasure our day aboard the sailing vessel Tortuga...until our next cruise!

To a wonderful guest: So thrilled that you liked the guestroom nest. All that goose down padding in the bed surely makes for a dreamy night - just like we like it! The fact that you duplicated it at home really is the ultimate compliment. Looking forward to getting you back out to the reef to see some new sights. And remember "Do what you like or nothin' at all".
Take care until next time...

“No Better Option!!! Just, WOW!”
Reviewed October 30, 2013

As someone who lives in NYC and lives and breathes work - pounding the pavement in the cold most of the year, picking a vacation and activities can be a little nerve racking, cause you just want it to be AMAZING! cause who knows when you will get to do it again. After raving reviews we decided to commit to the " Tortuga". First of all, what a gorgeous catamaran with all the amenities needed and more, but most importantly the Captain and first mate are not only knowledgeable about the perfect hidden gems for snorkeling etc, they are extremely laid-back and accommodating they provided a delicious and healthy meals: frozen Acai yogurt bowl with fresh cut fruit in the morning with chai seeds drizzled with honey, nespresso coffee and grilled hamburgers! Not only did they whip up the most incredible meals they were able to work with our ebb and flow, some days we wanted full out physically demanding activities like: snorkeling over coral reefs, diving off the side of the boat, kayaking or paddle boarding through the mangrove islands. Other days we wanted to drink a cool mojito and lounge in the sun, watch dolphins swim along the catamaran and watch the sun set with my honey bear. Long story short, i never write reviews, but Captain Rick and 1st Mate Cindy Lou - just GET IT! they are fantastic, so please don't miss out
