“Great room, awesome location!”
Reviewed March 12, 2014 via mobile

Our room was small but clean and quiet. The staff was friendly and helpful. There is a breakfast every morning and happy hour every evening. The pool and jacuzzi are open 24/7. This is for adults only, there were no spring breakers. I would definitely stay here again.

This was a cool place. Wine and cheese in the afternoon,...a few types of wine you could take to your room as you get ready for the evening. Fresh lemonade to mix with your vodka. (I miss that Lemonade) The layout of the resort so quaint and tropical. Pool and hot tub open 24 7 (as long as you don't disturb others). Continental breakfast with fresh tasting OJ, coffee, eggs, breads, cream cheese milk coffee cereal, bagel,....all that you need. I would love to put on the photos of the multileveled resort but it wont do any justice. You felt you were in the keys here,....lush, tropical, I think Hemingway was sitting by the pool un noticed with drink in hand reading.
Watch for the room you get, your room may be on the third floor and it could be an awful lot of stairs, also, adjoining room door had a terrible seal around it with light coming in and the fear of someone hearing everything in your room,,. way too much a gap around the door. This would be the main reason I did not give it an Excellent rating.
Other room amenities,.... good iron, and board, fridge, lots of closet and shelves. Our bathroom seemed old and outdated, hardly room for hair dryer or make up stuff,... a shower only and toilet that was hard to make work but we didn't care, it worked. Hot water took ages but we were not in a hurry.
The location was amazing,.... just off the main drag by a blog,...too many restaurants, bars and attractions to list with in walking, Mallory square 15 minute walk away. There was nothing that did not seem far away.
The staff all seemed helpful but busy,..
pick your times to get ahold of one of them as you may have to wait. All very helpful and friendly..
The parking,...Make sure you order a parking spot asap as there are only 8 or so spots. It was a problem not having one right away,..we had to park a block away, move twice and it cost us in time and money more.
There is late night noise from bars close by,....but that is why you chose the area right!? for the party also and proximity to it,... so bring ear plugs and don't complain,..drink before bed,...that is why you came here right?
Take what you want, good or bad about the above, the location and feel was priceless and a bit pricey at the same time. Romantic, lush, tropical, friendly, homey are words to describe staying here. I would stay again but check the room out first.

Room Tip: Don't get the third floor. A lot of stairs for some. Also, check for an adjoining room door...

Stayed here with a group of 12 on a business incentive trip. The staff was very helpful and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Rooms are clean and spacious. This is not your typical hotel. It is "inn-like" lots of character. There are about 6 buildings in the complex. Rooms are spread throughout. Yet it is not very large, there are only about 26 rooms in total. They have nice outdoors areas to lounge around. Pool is heated and open 24 hours, though it is not very large. Out door Jacuzzi is like wise open 24 hours. Bike rentals (one of the best ways to get around Key West) are available at the office for $15 a day. Light breakfast is served 8-10:30 am. Mainly cereals, juice, pastries, hard boiled eggs, oatmeal, bread/toast, coffee. Inn is half a block down from Duval street which is quite noisy until about 11:30 pm. Yet in my room I didn't hear any outside noise (I did have the AC on).
This was the first time I stayed in an Inn as opposed to a hotel. The price is what you'd pay for a hotel room on the mainland, yet in Key West all hotels are priced alot higher than a comparable room elsewhere.
In summation the Cabana Inn was a very pleasant experience with great service from the staff.

We got very lucky finding The Cabana Inn. The Staff are excellent so polite and helpful. The property is beautiful and clean. Would suggest it to all my friends. We will be back. It is close to everything Key West has to offer. Really enjoyed the bike riding, which they rented right there. Thanks for making our 25th anniversary great time. THANK YOU

Room Tip: If you have bad knees get the ground floor.

A nice clean great little find,, near everything in Key West. Very friendly, quiet and most of all super clean. The bungalow in the back is perfect for two, romantic, nice little breakfast and the help is very friendly. Parking is a little tight, but parking in Key West is always tight.

Room Tip: Liked the little bungalow in the back

It was a pleasure having you stay with us at The Cabana Inn. Parking is a hot commodity in Key West and can be on the expensive side. If you return to Key West in the future, we hope you choose to stay with us again. Thank you so much.

We were travelling spontaneously and booked everything last minute. Key West was busy but we were lucky to find this spot for 2 days. The Inn is in a perfect location to take in all the attractions. We parked the car in a near by lot and walked to everything (parking is an additional $25.00) . It is a private little oasis you can rest your feet after a busy day of site seeing. We did just that the first night. We enjoyed the pool and hot tube. We had their loft which was probably not their best room or even one of their better ones. There was a musty smell to it when we walked in. We got the fans going and it improved. It had a kitchen and sitting area which we did not need. The room could sleep 4 if 2 wanted to sleep on the pull out couch. Breakfast was included which was a simple continental style. They have a wine and cheese at 5- 7pm. It was not well attended the day we went. It would have been nice to see the Inn keeper mingle with us. It was clean. The staff was helpful and gave use great suggestions for dining. I believe everything in the area is in the same price range. I just expected more for the dollar value.

Thank you for taking the time to review The Cabana Inn. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay with us. The Cabana Loft is one of our premier rooms. Unfortunately due to humidity and the age of the historic buildings in Key West, things get a little musty because of our tropical environment. We do our best to make sure we maintain it the best we can. I am sorry that I was not able to mingle with you at happy hour. I must have missed you at breakfast, as that is when I do my mingling with my guests. I have a night staff that attends to the happy hour. My staff is also responsible for checking people in as well as mingling with our guests at happy hour. Thank you again for your review, we do hope you will come back to The Cabana Inn on your next visit to Key West.

Just came back from a night in Key West with 12 of my co-workers. We were fortunate enough to state at the Cabana Inn, and I would definitely stay there again. A block off the hussle and bussle of Duvol Street you will find the Cabana Inn. Quaint and charming, it is your own private oasis in Key West. Upon arrival all our rooms were ready and spotless. The pool and hot tub are wonderful, and the staff is attentive and polite but not up in your face. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it without any problem to anyone wanting a beautiful place to stay in Key West.

Room Tip: Every room is a little different. Try them all!!

Thank You for the Great Review. The Management and Staff at The Cabana Inn are here to make your stay enjoyable and relaxing. Our tropical oasis, right off of Duval takes you back to Old Key West. Lush vegetation and birds whistling in the back ground. A great place to take it easy. We hope on your next trip to Key West, you choose The Cabana Inn.
