Person named Garrett came for a demonstration at our hotel which was Hyatt Sunset Harbour from the marine science eco experience. He was very interesting and knowledgeable and very passionate about his work glad he came to the hotel just learned A lot of new and interesting facts about the reef and other sea life.

Beautiful city and even better sunsets. Great sea food and very relaxing. Historically interesting too. A lot of history with Cuban roots. There is the home of Ernest Hemingway and President Truman which are now museums and interesting to see

We've stayed here 3 times now & I can't imagine staying anywhere else in Key West. The grounds and landscaping are gorgeous. The pool is beautiful. We rent the studio (lockout) and it works out fine. Basically the same as a hotel room. The location is great (once you find it the first time!). You can park your car for the duration - you won't need it since you can walk everywhere easily from here. No need for onsite restaurant since there are dozens within walking distance. My only complaint is that the mattresses aren't the most comfortable. My back always seems to act up while I'm there, so I'm hopeful that the mattresses will be replaced in the near future. They just don't match the quality of the Resort. But that won't keep me from returning!

My husband and I are just leaving today after a 4 day stay with our 3-year old daughter. We stayed in a 1 bedroom overlooking the harbor. It was confusing to find because it is tucked away behind the parking garage next to margaritaville resort. At check in they told us we had to pay $39 for maid fees because we were not staying a whole week. The charge for parking in the garage was very reasonable at $30 for our entire stay, and you received a card and a permit pass to let you get in and out as needed. They didn't really explain how to get to our room very well, so we wandered for a little bit before finding it. There is only 1 ramp on the outside of the building and it took us a minute to find it and figure out how to get to our room. Beautiful view. Full kitchen with pots/pans/plates/bowls/silverware. All new appliances. The bathroom was only a shower and had one of the bigger shower heads that make you feel like it's raining on you (my husband said that was his one complaint lol). Sofa folds out into a bed. Has a small kitchen table and some bar chairs. Nice little table and chairs on the balcony. No maid service during our stay so we were not sure where to get towels but we just took some from the pool to use. They stocked the pool towels all the time and you could drop off your used ones there too. Pool area was awesome with a cute little swing you could sit in and enjoy the view. They do have chairs for handicap accessibility into the pool. They have grills down by the pool for guest use but we didn't use them. The cruise ships dock out front in the morning but are gone by sunset so it isn't too loud. It's more like renting an apartment. If you don't want to be bothered on your vacation you will probably enjoy it, if you want to have a hotel that has maid service and things to do you might want to stay somewhere else. We really enjoyed it.

Although this hotel was built in 1996, it is amazingly well-kept and just the kind of accommodation we wanted while visiting Key West.

We had a 2 bedroom lock out unit, overlooking the pool and dock area. Very nice view. (An iguana, we named Kelly, lounged on the arbor under our kitchen window, daily . . . very cool) The view was quite lovely, even when the cruise ships were in port. (Don't worry, the cruise ships must leave port prior to sunset, so you can enjoy the Key West sunset each evening.)

To begin, Sahara completed a flawless check in, while the Concierge Laurie Jane provided information and coupons and welcomed us to a breakfast the next morning, to learn of tours and options, to enhance our visit.

The rooms were quite spacious, with a LOT of storage, and comfortable beds. Although the foam mattress on the queen sofa bed was too firm for our 3rd couple, a simple phone call to the main desk provided 2 sets of foam pads (and additional pillows & towels) to make each couple comfortable for the week.

We cannot thank Sahara and Laurie Jane enough, for their pleasant, professional, and friendly service throughout the week! They always asked how we were enjoying our stay, and truly meant it. (While they're together - bring up Cuban vs. Jamaican coffee - enjoy the banter). Thank you to the friendly maintenance/service staff for pleasantly delivering requested items.

Per recommendations from all friends/relatives, we returned the car to the airport, and walked the rest of the week. Although we participated in many activities and enjoyed venues and restaurants ALL OVER Key West, the longest walk we had from Hyatt Sunset Harbor was 30 minutes. (It was JUST FINE - - - needed to walk off the calories anyway.)

The pool was refreshing and well maintained, with the clean towel bin outside the office's back door. An outdoor bathroom, located on the back side of the office was welcome, alleviating trips back to our 3rd floor room. Nice hot tub, too. (New deck furniture arrived on Friday - nice comfortable chairs, umbrellas, and tables spiffed up the pool area.)

We were completely satisfied with our stay at Hyatt Sunset Bay. Our party was not looking for activities AT the resort. We came to experience Key West . . . to walk, sweat, and enjoy Florida’s southernmost subtropical paradise . . . the history, beauty, food, and architecture that is closer to Cuba, than to a Walmart.

Room tip: Ask for a water view room.

The grounds were very nice, we were happy with our studio suite, and the location could not have been better. They did not inform us that if we did not stay for 7 days(our stay was for 5 days) that we were not entitled to maid service. We could not have clean linens and if we wanted clean bath towels we had to ask. We were charged $30 for parking which we knew in advance but upon check out we were told since we did not stay for 7 days we were being charged $39 for a split week fee.We couldn't have maid service but we had to pay because they had to clean the room mid week. We were considering buying into their program but have reconsidered. I expected more from a Hyatt property.
