“Dry look at a wet environment”
Reviewed August 5, 2014

This tour was exceptional and well worth the price. We went in the late afternoon and the crowds were low. After traveling a few miles out, the narrator took the microphone and we gathered around the viewing area. For those less flexible and for the younger ones, dual screens were available on either side of the vessel. The staff was quite knowledgeable and answered questions from the guests. We saw varieties of fish and other sea life in a comfortable environment friendly to children and the handicapped.

“Good tour but easily overbooked”
Reviewed August 1, 2014

I took this tour on a day that should not have been too busy - no cruise ships were docked, it was a Thursday afternoon. The rest of Key West was not reflecting a large crowd at all. When the passengers got on board, the indoor cabin seating was all taken, but not elbow-to-elbow crowded. After the trip out to the reef, it did become elbow-to-elbow around the viewing area, both for those seated around the viewing area and for passengers standing behind them, and there was at least a dozen people who couldn't get a view at all.

They clearly should be limiting the passengers to the searing area around the viewing area, not the rest of the seats + whatever on the top deck.

So, if you want a good view, ignore what the tour guide says at the beginning, get a seat around the window immediately upon boarding. It's not going to be nearly as comfortable as riding on the top deck, or on one of the in-cabin benches, but at least you'll get some of the view you're paying for.

Every other facet of the tour was great - very punctual, the person narrating what was seen through the windows was easily heard and knowledgeable, and there was plenty of free, ice-cold water available as well.

“It was a nice trip”
Reviewed July 23, 2014

We had a very nice day and the glass bottom boat trip was a great part of it. The weather was just right and we spent most of the time on the deck outside. We were lucky because we saw some dolphins and even a shark swam up to the joy of my son who is fascinated by them.
The crew members were very nice and the lady that ran the show was very knowledgeable about fauna and flora of the reef that we visited. Kids loved it.
The only complain is the price. It even went up this year.

“Headache”
Reviewed July 22, 2014

I will preface this unfavorable review by saying that the crew, including Carrie and Kevin and Captain are extremely capable professionals and in no way responsible for the absolutely terrible experiences we endured for the two horrible hours. There needs to be some changes made by management, but that will take up too many characters so I will describe our Tour. First of all , a catamaran is not a great choice for viewing and the interior of the vessel was poorly designed. That said, the worse is yet to come. The vessel filled up with people with small children, (children under 6yrs are free) a young woman who was obviously mentally challenged, most did not speak English. Consequently, when safety instructions were announced, people paid no attention and continued to talk, walk about and let the kids run around screaming. Absolutely no regard for others. We should have disembarked at that point, but hoped that things would settle down when the trip was under way. The next two hours were pure hell. The crew did their best to make the educational lecture heard, but that was impossible. Kids literally screaming in unison, running around, in and out of the doors, rendering the air conditioning useless. I have been in the airline and travel business for 28 years and 18 years as a middle school and varsity high school tennis coach. Never have I witnessed such a lack of parenting. Little children have no business on this cruise. They are instantly bored and their parents are oblivious. My husband and I are out $88 for what was so far the worst tourist experience we have ever had. Never never again.

“Great day to see the reef”
Reviewed July 20, 2014

Carrie provided great information about the coral reef habitat that we saw today. Calm waters provided an excellent and clear view of the sea below the boat. Easy ride out and back.

Light refreshments available. The AC could have provided cooler air.

If you don't have a coupon, ask if they have an extra one laying around. Just by asking, I saved an extra $16.
