We found the staff to be super friendly and efficient. Location is excellent...just a short walk to all of the activity. Straight down the street one way was the site of the everynight Sunset Party. Straight down the other way was the Southern most point. Across the street from Hemmingway House. We could only travel during Spring Break so we had an expectation that the prices would be higher. We parked our car a couple of blocks away and did not need it again until we were leaving. The room was super clean and had been renovated nicely. It is a Heritage place so we base our opinion on that. Free breakfast and a snack bar. It has a nice pool..unfortunately we did not get to use it because the weather did not cooperate and it was quite chilly. We recommend this hotel.

Great location and friendly staff, decent value for Key West, but the hotel should warn potential guests about the roosters! Yes, Key West is overrun with feral roosters and hens, and in the early morning hours on 3/31/13, there was a huge rooster right outside our room that was crowing all night and all morning, at jet-engine decibel levels, which rendered us completely unable to sleep. The hotel staff should take better care to ensure there are no wild roosters on the property to disrupt the sleep and quiet enjoyment of the human guests. When I raised this issue with hotel staff member Jeremiah, his attitude was completely unapologetic and he merely stated that these roosters are everywhere in Key West, which is true, but I did not notice any roosters on the properties of the nicer hotels.

Dear Stephen,

Thanks, so much, for writing. Yes, roosters and hens are an integral part of the Key West experience and yes, we do nudge those that come onto our Lighthouse Court property back to their rightful owners, our neighbors next door, every day. Catching them is a hoot! We'll see you again the next time you are in Key West!

My friend and I booked this place with two queen beds. The place was huge with two floors and plenty of room. They gave you breakfast and b1g1 drink ticket. The front desk was very accomodating It was alittle expensive but worth the extra $100 for such a nice room.

Room Tip: book the two queen suite its huge but there is a skylight that is right above the second floor bed w...

I stayed here for a weekend in March 2013. Overall the property has a neat aesthetic on the exterior. It is right across the street from the Hemingway House and is only 2 blocks from Duval St. The staff was certainly friendly and very pleasant.
The room we stayed in was pretty dated and rather small. The bed seemed comfortable but after all day on Duval St drinking and walking a gravel driveway would have been comfortable.
The location is great its very close to Duval and is near the center of Key West.
This is a nice place but nothing that blows your hair back. Sadly the biggest downside is how expensive every hotel is in Key West. It'll run about $300 per night during peak season. Which for how little your in your room is tragically way overpriced.
I would stay there again but only during off season as I don't see the value.

The staff at this hotel is very helpful and it has a great location (very short walk to duval street). Although I did come at peak season, I ended up paying about $1200 for 4 nights in a tiny room with one full sized bed. It's nice, but they definitely are taking advantage of people vacationing in season.

My wife and I stayed at the Lighthouse Court for 4 days. The location is great, walking distance to everything. The staff at the front desk was very nice, pleasant, welcoming and helpful. Our room was a King and decent sized, clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The breakfast was adequate, the coffee was better than most. A few complaints: the water pressure was low and we often couldn't get the water in the sink to be cold. There was a shared deck outside our room that was very cracked and splintering, it really needs to be restored. The windows in our room were screwed closed, the only way to get fresh air was leaving the front door open.

We just spent two days in Key West and we stayed here. Our room was so small. We had no room to put anything , only one trash can and no place to put your clothes except in a musty dresser. This place has pretty nice grounds but it needs cleaned up all over. The breakfast was ok. I would never go back..... checkout other places.

Room Tip: Go to another place !!!
