“Great location and great stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 13, 2012

The rooms/cottages remind me of "old" Florida. Rooms are large, well appointed and very clean. Service was outstanding. The hotel is directly across the street from the Hemingway mansion and only a block off Duval Street in the quiet section of the City. No car necessary, everything is within walking distance. Breakfast bar is okay, but I like the convenience of the Mojito Bar and Cafe on site. Patio is well appointed and great for just sitting in the sun and reading. Would stay here again.

My boyfriend and I wanted to stay here one night while in Key West. The parking situation was slightly challenging and tight spaces. Worked for 1 night though. Clean rooms, nice and spacious. We were amused by the very open shower we had! Overall nice stay for an evening!

Web and reviews influenced us to stay but we were generally very disappointed. The good points first, the location is great and the front desk staff were very pleasant and helpful. That about sums it up.
Now to the downside. We had a King room on the front of the complex. Looked like a wooden shed which we assumed was meant to be 'quaint' and in keeping with the area. Amenities were poor, no clothes closet which would be a problem for more than one or two days, few drawers, a very noisy refrigerator next to the bed, next door rooms TV mounted on the other side of the wall above the bed and a bathroom which had nowhere to put any toiletries. Must be the noisiest room we have ever had and our friends in the next shed agreed with us. We were woken up by blaring tv late at night in both rooms. When I rang the front desk to complain they phoned the wrong room and woke our friends instead of the room attached to ours. Would have thought the staff should know the layout of the complex.
No coffee making facilities in rooms but breakfast was included. Bagels, muffins etc so not a wide choice but not too bad as it went. They ran out of tea bags and smoking is allowed in the open breakfast area which is not a good idea.
Overall we felt that this property had a lot of potential but was badly designed and very very expensive for what was provided. Would not recommend or visit again.

We stayed at Lighthouse Court for six nights. Decided to stay there because of Kelly McGuire's songwriters showcase taking place there during MOTM.

Good Points;
Clean comfortable room-we had standard room
Great venue for music at pool area
Great location-one block off of Duval
Great staff
Good drinks and food at Mojito Bar

Room for Improvement:
Better breakfast--only bagels, not so good croisants, cereal, and need more fruit (how about some bananas?)
Coffee out earlier than 8 am or a coffee maker in room

All that being said we would definitely stay here again

Room Tip: Get a room that does not face directly onto Whitehead street. We stayed in H2 which was off to the...

Stayed here for 7 days. Had no problems. when we arrived they upgraded us to a King room at no charge. Each day hotel staff came in made the bed put new towels out and cleaned the room. Stayed right in the pool courtyard and did not hear anyone. The breakfast each morning was okay at best. The fruit was no good at all but bagels, muffins and yogurt did the job. Staff always kept everything full even up to 10:00 when people were still eating. The location is incredible 5 or so blocks to the south was the southern most point and 12 blocks the other way to Mallory square. We walked everywhere in 10-15 minutes. Hotel staff did great job hen we needed directions or questions about an attraction. Would highly recomend this hotel to anyone visiting Key West. We will definitly stay here again. The only down side, and this is minor, they could have cleaned the gutters out and done some clean up around the outside areas.

We have been to Key West several times & have stayed at many places & this 1 tops them all. The location is perfect, just 1 block off of Duval Street directly across the street from the Ernest Hemingway house. It is quite decieving from the street as it is actually quite a large property. The courtyard and pool/bar area just make this property, as you can come back here, kick off your shoes & just relax away from the madness of Duval Street, and not even realize where you are as it is so peaceful. There are many varying different room sizes, so choose what works best for you. We stayed in C-1 and absolutely loved the location of the room.

We Looked for a place to stay close to Duval, but out of the crowds, and Lighthouse Court fit the bill. We were pleased, room was nice, clean, and looked exactly like the photos. We were so close to everything, we parked when we arrived, and didn't move the car until we left 4 days later. (all the reviews are right about the parking...there's virtually none, but that's nothing new for Key West). We didn't experience all the noise that some other reviewers have mentioned. All things considered, we loved our stay and will be revisiting in October! (not driving this time!) :)
