I stumbled upon it in 2004, and am glad I did. I almost dont want to review it because dollar for dollar, location taken in consideration, it is one of the best bargains. I hope it stays a secret so its still affordable the lext time I want to book there. Its really very close to all of the action near the busiest end of Duval Street, yet its tucked away a couple streets up, so when you are at the B&B, you have no idea how close you are to Duval. Its very quiet and secluded. That means alot when staying in KW, I think at least. I love the lagoon style pool. This hotel, and the Conch House are 2 of my favorites, but I prefer Westwinds because its feels more private at the pool and outside. Its very cozy, clean, old key West style rooms, relaxing, nice staff, and once you start walking to Duval a couple times, you realize how lucky you are to end up being so close. And that end has all of the best restaurants as well. There are a handful of great places to eat within a 2 block walk. Read the story of Robert the Haunted Doll, and then if you stay at this hotel, when you head up eaton street, you walk right past The Artist House, where Robert lived. Kind of fun....creepy for my wife. The doll is in the Martello Museum, which you can go visit too.
