We stayed 3 nights earlier this month at the Almond Tree and found it spotlessly clean and luxuriously modern. The hotel is just off Duval Street at the quiet end with everything within walking distance, didn't move the car for the whole time we were there. We had a king room 104 which was lovely and looked recently decorated with fine linens and soft towels. A few steps outside and we were on the pool deck. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful and we found the staff very friendly and eager to please. Brendan especially was helpful with suggestions and advice about Key West. Afternoon happy hour was a nice touch too with different nibbles set out every day. Would definitely stay again.

Room Tip: Those without rooms above are best.

We enjoyed our Almond Tree Inn experience, and it is, no doubt, a very good choice when in Key West, but, sadly, the Inn simply does not measure up to "great". We say that because a couple of rooms (in fact the two rooms offered to us as guests holding advance reservations - rooms 110 and 116) have absolutely zero curb appeal and utility due to the limits imposed on the architect when converting the former motel into a luxury property. Both rooms' outdoor sitting areas are useless, unless looking out at a wall (close up) appeals to you. We got the impression even reserved rooms are assigned first-come, first-served so plan to arrive early to get a decent location. Also, some aspects of the property are now showing age (room 116's shower had poor grouting lines and marred tiles on the shower floor). That's a shame because the rest of the room was luxurious and comfortable. That said, light sleepers beware, we did experience some late night noise (heavy footsteps back and forth) from occupants overhead when they returned to their room. Overall, this small property is generally well maintained and pleasant. The staff are very accommodating, are eager to please and they do. The Almond Tree Inn's location is perfect for exploring old Key West. We'd happily stay at the Inn again, now armed with some "local knowledge," but we'd also be eager to try other higher end Key West hotels such as the Marquesa Inn, which, at the same price point, we understand from friends is (possibly) "great."

Room Tip: Arrive early. Avoid room 110 and 116. First floor rooms may have noise from upstair's occupants.

This was one of the cleanest places I've ever stayed in. Very modern. Landscape was beautifully maintained. Workers at front desk/breakfast were friendly and accommodating. Excellent location. Everyone staying there that we met were friendly/social.

My wife and I stayed for 4 nights in June and absolutely loved it. Our room was spotlessly clean and the furnishing and facilities were superb. The welcome card and complimentary chocolates was a very nice touch. The continental breakfast was fresh and plentiful. The location is great; just at the top of Duval Street and 2 blocks from Ernest Hemingway's house/museum, (well worth a visit, by the way). The afternoon Happy Hour is a lovely touch where you can have a complimentary drink and an opportunity to meet other guests. The staff are both friendly and helpful with a great knowledge regarding restaurants, boat trips and local attractions. I wouldn't hesitate to return here and would highly recommend it.

Room Tip: The rooms alongside the pool are perfect

My husband & I love staying here. The staff are friendly, helpful and they know Key West. They treat us like family and the service is superb. Their breakfast is fresh, delicious and plentiful. The housekeeping staff are friendly, accomodating and do an excellent job on the room every day. The lush tropical setting around hte pool, hot tub and koi pond make you forget there is a city outside the gate. I love the flavored water dispenser that is available poolside, especially the cucumber, thank you Bill. The happy hour is just that...happy, relaxed and the food is good and plentiful. The free drink coupons are an inspiration that we fully approve !! If you want a relaxed and carefree stay in KW, don't stay anywhere else.

Room Tip: There are no "bad" rooms here

Stayed here for 2 nights. My daughter turned 7. Bill and Shea gave her a birthday cake and this made my daughters day as it was a Great surprise for her, The trip was part of her B-day. The staff here was GREAT!! The room was really nice, exceptionally clean and comfortable. The breakfast had assorted items to choose from and was a nice way to start our day. The pool was nice, hot tub was relaxing and Happy/Social time was nice with drinks and appetizers. This whole experience at the Almond Tree was nothing but Awesome. We will return as we have found our oasis in Key West each time we visit. The location is very convenient as it is far enough from the Duval St. noise, but close enough to walk and take in the activities and sites.

Room Tip: All the rooms are really nice and comfortable. I did look in a few when the cleaning staff was doing...

Stayed at Almond Tree Inn the first of June 2014 for 3 nights, with my mother and brother. We had a premium suite with 2 queen size beds and a sofa bed. The room was clean, beautiful and all the beds were comfortable. The continental breakfast was lovingly set out with copious amounts of breads, pastries, juices, fruits, tea and coffee, and you can eat as much as you like. The pool and hot tub were the perfect places to relax after roaming around Key West and Duval Street. The inn is right off Duval Street, but no noise penetrates. The landscaping is lush and verdant. There is a 24 hour CVS next door for all needs or things forgotten (hair conditioner). The staff at the inn were friendly and helpful. The location is great so you don't even have to use the car; you can walk almost everywhere from the inn. Highly recommend.
