The Southernmost Beach Resort is beautiful, well located, but pricey. The staff are five stars-very accommodating, particularly Larry the front desk manager.
However, for an average of $550/night I expected a little more from the rooms. Most annoying was the air conditioning--large in wall air conditioners more in line with Holiday Inn. It was noisy & grinding. I expected central air in a resort such as this.
In addition, my Queen room with an ocean view really was a parking lot view with the ocean well in the background. Very misleading description!!! The accommodations inside the rooms are on par with a Hyatt. Nothing extra special about them for the price tag.
What you pay here for is location--a private tanning pier & a beautiful spot on the water. The adjacent beach is public but exceptionally well run by the beach rental company--he is a great guy and very accommodating!!!
The beach Shack restaurant is great for breakfast and cocktails-delicious food, good service, and reasonable.
We enjoyed our stay very much, except for the disappointing room issues as mentioned. Inquire exactly where your room will be!!! Overall it was a little spot of tranquility over a crazy Spring Break!More
