“A wedding to remember”

Our stay at the Southernmost was to celebrate our daughter's wedding (held on site) The Southernmost Hotels are absolutely beautiful. Our room was beautiful, the grounds beautiful, all of the staff was friendly and accomodating. There was always some sort of very pleasing entertainment around one or more of the crystal clear pools. The Bloody Mary's were the best. The cafe at the beach had delicious food. I can't say enough about this resort. If you want a top notch place to stay in the Keys ... the Southernmost properties are for you!!
I can't wait to go back!!

Room Tip: I don't think there is a bad room in the resort. We had close to 70 family members staying in v...

Nice property...with the bonus of all three resorts. Best Bloody Mary's I have every had at the Shore Pool. They load them up with Olives and Spiced Pickled Green Beans... A must try if you are at the resort.

Room Tip: Stay accross the street and save some cash.

We spent Thanksgiving week there. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. We arrived at noon. They let us store our luggage until check-in and provided a room to freshen up and change clothes. We ate several tines at cafe on the beach. The food was fantastic. Thanksgiving meal was 4 course and better than I can cook. We stayed in bldg A. It was clean comfortable. Nice view of the courtyard and ocean. The balcony was a great place to relax at the end of a great meal. We have nothing negative to say. Use the concierge. She is very helpful. Be sure to take an ereader or book. Bookstores are very hard to find.

Room Tip: Partial ocean view with balcony

My husband and I live in SE Florida but had not been to Key West in a few years. We were celebrating my birthday and our anniversary. We chose Le Mer/Dewey House for the charming way it looked on line and for the "no children" policy. We were not disappointed. We had a great room (404) at Le Mer right on the beach with a great wraparound porch to sit on and watch the activity. Very relaxing place with all the amenities at the Southermost Hotel to enjoy as well as our B&B experience. Every morning a delicious and extensive breakfast was served. Tea in the afternoon. The room was large and comfortable with a large bathroom, 2 TV's, frig and coffee maker. Right at the end of Duval street near shopping and only a short walk to Mallory Square. We liked this end of Duval because it is quieter than the other more tourist end but all is within a short walk. The staff were great. We can't wait to go back.

TA did a good job leading me to this place for a short vacation to Key West. We stayed overlooking the west lawn, which was an amazing place to listen to live music and watch the sunset. The pool was decently heated (it could be warmer), but the ocean was fairly choppy this time of year and only cleared up for nice swimming for about half of one day. The grounds are well kept and the hotel had nice drinking water available in a couple of spots, which is really nice compared to some places trying to sell $3 bottled water.. Drinks at the poolside bar were decently priced, especially considering the happy hour specials. Their private peir is also a great place to watch a sunrise and sunset, which you can see both of in the winter months. The only surprise with the room was were many of the rooms had exterior entrances and not all the rooms had a private balcony. The room was nicely decorated, had a good shower, excellent bedding, had a nice flat screen television (that actually had HD TV on it). They served complimentary coffee at the pool from 6-9 and kept an ample supply in room, both of which were better than average.

I only have a few complaints that keep this place from getting five stars from me:

1) We saw all these people on rafts to float around the pool and thought they would be included, then was dissapointed when I found out they cost $10 each.

2) We were also surprised at some of the trashier elements here for a hotel at this price point, there were ladies that were very drunk and yelling things that shouldn't be said around children. There were staff members that saw this and didn't do anything about it. We don't have kids, but were still surprised the staff let it go on. I guess if you can get to Key West on a greyhound bus, you're going to get some of this element anywhere you stay.

3) There were two guests that used the small sitting area outside our room to chain smoke for two or three hours for the last two days at sunset, which caused our non-smoking room to smell like they were inside our room. There was also a really roudy bunch that swiped the chairs from outside our room and took them somewhere for one evening.

Overall, we had a good stay and would consider staying here again if we made it back to Key West.

My husband and I got married in Key West in November 2010. We stayed at the Southernmost on the Beach, and absolutely loved it! We decided to go back this year for our 1st anniversary, and were happy once again! It's on the quieter end of Duval Street, but not too far to walk to the other end.

The grounds are kept up very well, the rooms are clean, and the bathroom is quite large. The pool is nice to hang out at, with a bar that serves the best frozen drinks.

The restaurant is also good, with very reasonable prices. We went for breakfast and lunch, and were not disappointed! I really can't say anything bad about this place, and can't wait to book again for next year!
