We stayed here one night in February 2013 and had reserved a standard room. The room were clean and little and you didn't want to be if you did'not sleep. But when yo opened the door you met a wonderfull and a relaxing garden with a pool and jaccuzi. The building were in wooden colonialstyle and it was a perfect stay. The staff in the reception were very engaged and kindly.

Room Tip: If you are staying for more than one night - perhaps you should pay a little more for a room with mo...

My wife and I returned to Key West and stayed at the Eden House. We stayed in a great room (503) with a balcony overlooking the pool. This is the second time we stayed at the Eden House, and the experience was even better than the first. It is close enough to Duval Street to walk to most of the nightlife, but far enough away to escape from the noise and crowds when you want to. The grounds, including the pool, are very well maintained. The staff is excellent. Great recommendations and always willing to help. We will definitely stay there again, hopefully next year.

Room Tip: Spend a little more and get a room with a balcony. 503 is great.

OK... so the minute we saw the sign over the front desk that said, "I've got flying monkeys and I'm not afraid to use them!", we knew we were in the right place -- and it just kept getting better and better after that. Mike Eden and his team have created the friendliest, most delightful place to do anything... and nothing at all. It's walking distance to everywhere, and if you don't want to walk, they've got scores of great old fat-tire, coaster-brake bikes to rent (and everybody bikes in Key West). But why leave Eden House? The pool and hot tub are full of fun (especially when 4:00 daily Happy Hour rolls around!), as are all the wonderful little nooks and crannies with porch swings, hammocks, burbling little ponds -- you can be as social or as private as you want. The staff are exceptional -- everyone seems as happy to work there as we were happy to stay there. We had a huge deluxe room on the second floor of the main house facing Fleming Street (hence just the "very good" sleep quality -- but, hey, you can't control the roosters and ear plugs work just fine), spotlessly clean and very comfortable. I think the best part of our stay was making friends with the other guests -- it literally felt like being Mike's personal houseguests and genuinely liking everyone else he's invited, too! The biggest compliment to Eden House is the number of guests who are repeat visitors. And now, they'll have two more... US! Thanks, everyone, for a gloriously happy, relaxing, laugh-filled and soon-to-be-repeated vacation!

Room Tip: If you face Fleming Street, it can get a little noisy early in the morning. So either keep your room...

Hi guys,
Bob Dylan said, "something is happening but you don't know what it is..... do you..... Mr. Jones?" Congrats on ten awesome years of marriage. You could see it in your faces. It was nice having you here this past week to get to meet this special group of guests. They are down every February 'bout this time. It was our pleasure and come back soon.

Happy hour starts daily at 4pm sharp. Don't be late - we will start without you.

The Eden House is unlike any other hotel I've stayed in, with a number of rooms scattered around 3-4 different buildings on grounds that are immaculately maintained and include a heated pool and hot tub, hammocks, porch swings and decks. We stayed in the 2nd floor of the Conch House -- a 2-bedroom unit that we shared with my brother and sister-in-law -- that was extremely economical after splitting the rate. The open bar Happy Hour was awesome, and the Azur restaurant next door was also a treat. The staff is terrific -- friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable about Key West. In short, we'd go back in a heartbeat!!

We spent three nights at Eden House and didn't want to leave. The atmosphere was welcoming, a little funky, and instantly relaxing. The staff was extremely friendly, helpful and rightfully proud of Eden House. Our room, although a tad small, was spotless and quiet. The daily Happy Hour is fabulous and it quickly became obvious that the other guests were having as much fun as we were. We can't wait to go back.

if you want to experience Key West without the corporate cookie cutter accomodations, go to the Eden House. this was no less than my 10th visit to Key West but first at the Eden.
the rooms were fabulous and very origianl. the owners are on site, and the staff more than accomodating. cant wait to return.
they even had little notes with printed directions to guide you on a better exit off the island.

Room Tip: parking is tight on the property especially late afternoon. park your car early and leave it there...

We arrived just before the end of daily happy hour so the staff walked us out to find a beverage and gave us a tour of the property en route before we completed the registration. The plants/gardens are beautiful. Pool temperature great. We rented bikes on site to explore and did not move the vehicle the entire time we were there. Many resturants easy walk distance. Easy one block walk to the bakery for breakfast each morning to go with free coffee in lobby. We would stay again and recommend to friends based on our visit.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 501 which opens onto the pool deck; a large deluxe was very spacious with small fr...

Relax In Old Town Key West! The Eden House's first priority has been to maintain a clean inn, offer a comfortable bed, reasonable rates and have a staff that cares. Next comes the heated pool and Jacuzzi, hammocks, porch swings, waterfalls, sundeck, free off-street parking, café and lush gardens. We will have a cold drink for you at check-in and our daily complimentary 'happy hour' is poolside. Then at 10 PM we will dim the lights and let you get a good nights rest. Our night staff will not put a mint on your pillow but they will walk the grounds to insure that you won't be disturbed. I have owned and managed the Eden House for 27 years. I like to think that my staff and me do the 'little' things that will make your stay in Key West a memorable one. Key West is notorious for it's nightlife. Whether it is a sunset sail, a snorkel or kayak trip or deep water and flats fishing, the waters of the Florida Keys are like no other. Just let us know when you want to go.Grab a good book and a drink and I'll see you in the hammock area. ... more   less
