Thank you to the friendly and competent staff of the Reach. Jay on the concierge staff was top notch as was Cindy Acevedo. Also the bell men and doormen were helpful and kind to two senior citizens.
The hotel is very nice and well run. I do think the rooms need to be redecorated and freshened in appearance to make the surroundings more luxurious as befitting a Waldorf property. Lobby furniture and patio were not comfortable and could use replacing, as well as the canopy outside the restaurant.
This is all constructive criticism, not a complaint. Our stay was extremely pleasant and we will return. Thanks to all. P. S we had a room with a great view.

Very pleasant surroundings. Not too big, not too small. Friendly staff, esp the concierge. Ok, the room I was in could use a little freshening up for the luxury price, esp the carpeting and the upholstery on the furniture and the marshmallow-soft bed. Kind of hard to get in and out of the shower too so get a room with a tub if you can. The b & b package was ok but probably better to mix it up and try local places for breakfast instead. Would I come back? Maybe, although other places at this quieter end of Duval might offer more amenities and more nicely appointed rooms. This was my first trip to Key West and it was definitely pleasant. Was it a home run? Not exactly. But not a strike out either.

The staff was very welcoming, starting with the doormen. Our room had nice views of the pool area and a glimpse of the Gulf. Except for one day, the room was serviced in a timely manner, and there was turn-down service. Breakfast at the hotel was very good, particularly sitting on the patio overlooking the Gulf. Restaurant service was adequate but the bar was inside the hotel. The concierge service was very attentive with good recommendations. The hotel experience was very good but short of a 5 star hotel that the price suggested.

Absolutely terrible experience. For $500 plus a night we received terrible check in, 1 room cleaning in 5 days as they were short staffed, surly and tired front desk staff, mean bartender with no patrons, no real service at the pool. The only good people were the doormen and H2O service people at the beach. Couldn't get a cocktail by the pool if I tried. 12 for a small cocktail? Yes the property looks nice - rooms are good if they get cleaned. Pay for parking? Don't stay here - go right next door to the Southermost Hotel on the Beach. Cheaper - nicer - great service at the bars and pool - plus they actually smile and care. Waldorf Astoria manages the Reach property and need to actually stay there themselves to find out how bad they really are.

Hotel was ok but Ricardo the pool man was a breath of fresh air. He was great and a good guide and friend. (Ricardo is the man!!!). There was construction going on at the hotel jackhammering and shacking the building. Did not know this prior to going on trip.
