The Reach Key West, A Waldorf Astoria Resort

Recently spent a long sister's weekend in Key West and opted to try out "The Reach." Loyal to Hilton brands, I have already stayed at the Doubletree and the Casa Marina. I chose the Reach because of the private beach and proximity to Duval Street, as well as the reviews that mentioned the friendly staff. I was not disappointed! The beach is small, but lovely, with lots of comfortable loungers. As noted in previous reviews, the pool staff, specifically Patrick and John were friendly and attentive -- even offering to clean sunglasses, provide a cool mist spritz, and deliver chilled cucumbers for the eyes and frozen popcycle. Each afternoon, when we left the hotel, champagne was served in the lobby. The hotel was really charming and friendly. The only suprise we found that breakfast is not served at the hotel. One of the Hilton Diamond membership perks is free continental breakfast, but the hotel did not serve breakfast. However, we did receive candy and champagne in our room as a Hilton Honors welcome gift, plus drink coupons for the restaurant/bar on site.

We were staying nearby and I checked the premises--if you like hammocks, beautful beach and pool, outdoor dining, fitness center--looks like a Caribbean resort and yet walking distance to good things in Key west, this may be your place. On the quiet southern end of island

WOW! I am always thankful when our guests take the time to provide a review of The Reach Resort after a stay with us. I am just as thankful that you provided us a review and didn't even have the experience of a luxurious and relaxing stay on our property.

Please be in touch with me via email, paul.bartush@waldorfastoria.com, if you do have plans to be in Key West again. I would be happy to personally assist with your accommodations at The Reach. Paul Bartush, Front Desk Manager, The Reach Resort.

The pool/beachside service made our last day the absolute best. We used the first 2 days to explore walking right from the hotel to everything. It was in a better location for walking back at night also compared to the Casa Marina so we are glad we chose The Reach.
Patrick, Ricardo and John were absolutely fantastic, helpful and accommodating. We will be back for sure when we need a weekend away. thanks!! .

For our honeymoon, we went to The Reach, which was billed as an adults only hotel. While our suite was beautiful with a gorgeous view, we were disappointed that the hotel didn't feel like a Waldorf. Being from NYC, we had certain expectations and the Reach fell a little short. There were small kids at the pool, the housekeeping service was inconsistent and the hotel staff were not that knowledgable about hints and fun things to do on the Island.

Room Tip: if you;re going to stay here, the only reason would be the view- get an ocean view suite.

I am sorry to read your review and learn about the disappointment you had while staying with us. The Reach markets itself as an all-welcome resort. We make concerted efforts to not only cater to couples but also to families. For example, our ScoutAbout program was solely developed to engage families in a scavenger hunt-style learning activity that spans between our property and our sister resort, The Casa Marina.
I would be interested in speaking with you further with regards to your disappointment with our staff's knowledge of Key West activities since it differs so greatly from the experience of the majority of our guests. We pride ourselves in having teams of highly knowledgeable concierge and engaging pool and front desk staff, all of whom provide exceptional service to our guests throughout their stay.
I look forward to the possibility of discussing these matters with you further. Paul Bartush, Front Desk Manager, The Reach Resort

The Reach Resort is the Best!! We loved it last year! When we were looking for places to stay this year nothing else compared to The Reach. They have the best staff!! EVERYONE was so nice and friendly. Breakfast bar was Great! Beach service was excellent as usual! They also have the ONLY natural beach in Key West. I don't wanna stay anywhere else in Key West!!

Room Tip: The only draw back that we had was I would not want a corner room again. Last year we had a room wi...

After spending 5 days on a sailboat - we really appreciated the big room & shower, comfortable bed and great service. The staff were friendly and the resort amenities are all that were advertised. I loved the espresso machine in room. May buy one for home! Great beach, good food, close to everything we wanted to see. Will come back!

One of the best locations in Key West and an awesome beach. There are three great beach options there with the property itself, the adjacent sister property, and the nearby public beach. Although the hotel is a little dated, the service is excellent. You could save a few bucks by staying off of the beach, but if you want to stay on the beach, but also walking distance from the happening, Duval St., this is an excellent option.
