“The Best Location in Key West!”
Reviewed February 20, 2013

If you are headed to Key West and you are looking for a hotel that takes you where akin to an Island Paradise, this is the place. The grounds are magnificant and the staff is top notch, especially Andrew by the pool. Although the entire staff was extremely helpful and overly courteous, Andrew was really top notch. He is extremely personable, very pleasant and definitely a go to guy if you need something.

In addition to the incedible grounds, which include two pools and one of the few hotels with its own a beach, the food is great as well. It starts with an awesome buffet breakfast every morning outside if you like. The poolside restaurant was great for lunch and surprisingly good for dinner; add a tremendous view and it makes it difficult to ever leave the property! If you do leave the property and you should, if you don't get back too late, the pool bar with fire pits is a great place for a low key nite cap!!

As for the rooms, ours was very nice with a view of the ocean. The rooms are a little tight considering what you pay, but they were well appointed and more than sufficient. Truth be told you should only be in them to sleep, shower and pass out!!

If you are looking for an upscale hotel with 5 star ammenities and great staff, then this is the place to be!! Btw, if you see Andrew poolside tell him his friends from the Jersey Shore send their best and we'll see him next January!

Room Tip: If you can get or afford a room with an ocean view and private terrace go for it!

Nicest location in Key West. Right on the beautiful south end beach. Walking distance to the fun of Duval Street but quieter ... which is a good thing! We were a bit disappointed with all of the things in our room that didn't work ... iron, hair dryer, TV ... expected more given the high price of rooms ... but staff was quick to remedy the problem. Needs a better on site restaurant but the pool area and grounds are immaculate and beautiful. The $25 daily "resort fee" was high for what you get. Overall we were happy and would return.

Room Tip: Ask for the newer area. Old rooms are a bit dated.

Casa Marina is a beautiful resort. The rooms, while sparsely appointed, were clean and adequate. The price paid is not for the room you stay in, but for the location. We do however recommend the ocean view with a balcony. On our one day of inclement weather, we enjoyed sitting out on the balcony. One downside was that our room had a connecting room occupied by other guests, that we could easily hear. Casa Marian has 2 pools that were clean and when lit up at night along with the palm tree lined grounds, looked magical. The bar and surrounding areas overlook the ocean and are great spots to watch the sunset. These outside lounge areas have gas fire pits, that certainly warm things up should the weather be a bit cool in the evenings. However, the BEST part of our stay, which lasted 7 days, was the royal treatment we received on the beach. Mark, the supervisor, certainly is an expert in customer service. He immediately greeted us on our first day and made us truly feel like guests at the resort. During that first encounter he learned that we really enjoy eating good food. He called and made reservations for us all week at wonderful restaurants....of all varieties. His staff of Walter, Sean, and Matt follow his lead. Even in his absence, these young men attended to our every need, often before we knew what that need was! The effort to show our gratitude through tipping was certainly not expected, but was appreciated. Another tip: Don't bother to rent a car or scooter. We rented bicycles right on the property for the week. Every place was within a few minutes bike ride with bike rack accommodations everywhere, and parking for cars VERY LIMITED. We only ate one time at the hotel and it was lunch ordered from the bar outside. It was tasty and again, can't beat the ocean view. But, with so many WONDERFUL restaurants in Key West, be adventurous and take in as many places as you can. One of the best restaurants is right down the road from Casa Marina, called Louie's Backyard. You need reservations for this, but if it's full, don't hesitate to walk around back and have a drink and some bar food at Louie's Afterdeck, overlooking the ocean. We are looking forward to returning to Key West and enjoying this laid back atmosphere again.

Room Tip: Pick an ocean view balcony room with no connecting room

Great location, and wonderful staff! Concierge was great and the excursions they set up for us were perfect! The sunset cruise was the best deal on the island, Jill and the captian made a cloudy trip fun!

I recently stayed at the Casa Marina after booking another hotel on island that was a complete disaster. I booked elsewhere because I was on a budget vacation with my little sister and needed to stay somewhere cheap. After a disasterous experience with the hotel, I called the Casa Marina in tears and told them my story. I have previously stayed in this hotel and had a wonderful experience and they were immediately able to look up my previous stay. They wasted no time in telling me to come to their hotel and they would find a way to turn around my bad experience thus far in Key West. Upon arrival, they booked me with a room at a preferred rate that I could afford and gave me a room with a gorgeous view of the ocean and balcony. This hotel is beautiful to start with, from the palm tree-lined walkway leading to their private beach to the pools surrounding ample outdoor seating and fun little poolside bars. What amazed me what the level of service I experienced in a time of need. Everything was booked that weekend and I would have had to drive back to Miami if the Casa Marina hadn't made a real effort to not only accomidate me, but do so with a smile and attitude that put me at ease. They repeatedly checked in on me throughout the vacation and made me feel very special. I highly recommend this hotel and will stay no where else the next time I'm on island!!

Room Tip: Large balconies with great views

My family and I just completed a 4 day stay at Casa Marina. This historic hotel has much to offer to both families and couples. Most rooms are not as large as newer hotels but ant down side is made up by the services provided. The private beach and children friendly staff made our stay fantastic. The housekeeping staff are invisible but their work was very apparent. We will visit Casa Marina again. Jafre (front desk supervisor) is one of the best in the business.

Great location, good service, very nice garden, beach and pool area.
Rooms are relatively modern and of good quality. Ensure you do not have a room with a connecting door otherwise you can hear everything you really do not want to hear.
The Nespresso machine is a great bonus. The pool restaurant is ok but the main restaurant is a desaster. It is one big room with no charme whatsoever. There is clearly a lot of room for improvement on that front.
