The Inn at Key West
Ranked #43 of 51 Hotels in Key West

We needed a getaway and spent two nights at the Inn at Key West. What a fabulous place. It has recently be remodeled and the rooms are so pretty and clean. The pool is fantastic, so relaxing. Service for the most part was excellent.

The only complaint we had was we did not have a car and we had to take a cab into the city which was $30.00 round trip. A shuttle to town would be a great added convenience.

If you want a relaxing, beautiful location away from the craziness of the city this is the place for you. It would also be great if you were staying with kids.

We will go back!

No problems checking in. Unfortunately, no bell boy, but they did offer to have someone assist with the bags. It is a nice luxury hotel, minus all of the extras you would get at a Marriott. If you need pampering don't come, because it is not that type of luxury hotel, but they have a concierge who can help you get to all of the places they dont have on the property. Website & pictures were accurate. The rooms were not huge, but they were accomodating, current & clean. They have flat screens, free internet access, free parking etc.. They also had a work out facility, sauna etc..., unfortunately we did not get a chance to go. We also had two infants, in which the provided portable cribs, which were light weight & easy to move around the rooms. We had the King room with a view of the pool. Pool was always being maintained.

If you are looking to be in the mix of the Duval party district, then this may not be the place for you, but if you are okay with a 10 minute cab ride downtown to save money, I would put this on the top of your list. We had a rental, so travel was not a problem . Don't let most of the bigger name brand hotels fool you talking about beach side, because most of them are just water front. The beach space is nearly non-existent anywhere along highway 1. So, if you feel you need to spend more money to watch the sea, feel free.

If you have a family, IHOP is next door. They also have many eating places within 5 minutes of the hotel.

It was a wonderful experience for a family with a young child. Clean room, great pool and pool view.

Only few minor issues:-

1) Had issues with the door key, which did not work. Was provided another set of keys, which again did not work.
2) There was no hotel brochure inside the room or was given at check-in which tells the visitor about hotel facilities and their timings.
3) Internet speed in the lobby was not high-speed.

My husband and I just returned from Keywest, we stayed at The INN at Key west. First off I dont know how anyone can complain about this place, dont believe the negative comments. We rented a car in Miami and drove down, it took about 3 1/2 hrs or so, it was a nice ride and beautiful scenery. The towns along the way were quaint and some a little backwoods, but still it was nice. We checked in and stayed in rm 119, it was clean and had nice furniture, the design was very nice and classic tropical. The bath room was beautiful and the shower was very nice with huge rainshower head. The service was great, they have free internet so you have to wait sometimes from other guests "hogging it", that is really my only complaint and that isnt the hotels fault. There is an Ihop next door , it is not a nice Ihop, it was a little in need of a new ceiling, but the prices are good. We ate next door to the hotel at the breakfast buffet and that was nice. It is kind of hidden in the back by the hotel. My husband decided to go fishing so I went along, early in the morning. He went through Local Peter Haydon, he was very nice and for $350 for half day, it was totally worth it for my husband, he caught alot of Tarpon and had the fight of his life and I had it all on video and the fish was spalshing and jumping and my husband was reeling it in and laughing, and then got the fish in. I set the video camera down for a second to take a picture of my husband and the fish he caught and the boat tipped to the side and when it did, the video camera slid off and into the ocean never to be seen again. I was so upset and mad all at the same time, but my husband handled it well and felt so bad for me. Even with that happening we had the best time and totally recommend him, so look him up he will show you real fishing. All in all we liked this hotel alot and have no complaints. The hotel is about 7 minutes away from like Duval street and downtown, but there is parking. We found parking downtown by the Truman Annex by Caroline street the best and one block from Duval st, the cost is $1.50 for an hour they dont take cash so have quarters ready. We would definatly go back to this hotel.

Being from Ft.Lauderdale we go to Key West several times a year. We usually stay at the same hotel (another one) all the time. As the prices went up and they were more or less booked we decided to give The Inn a try.
Wow, that is all I have to say. Have already stayed at about 4-5 ones before but this one beats all of them.
The rooms were very very clean with flat screen TV, modern bathroom, free internet access. Seems like it was just remodeled.
The pool must be one of the nicest on the Island.
If you book a room make sure to get a pool view and not a ocean view. Fortunately we did that. The hotel is located on one of the main street in Key West (4 lanes). You will have to cross that street to get to the Gulf of Mexico and therefore it will be quite noisy.
I would definitely recommend this hotel if you don't want to spent a fortune but still want the tropical livestyle and clean amendities

The hotel renovations are beautiful - rooms, lobby and pool all look great! I would definitely recommend the the buffet breakfast - also, speak to the concierge if you are looking for suggestions on things to do.
