“Nice enough, but...”
Reviewed March 22, 2009

Although the staff was nice and the hotel was pleasant and clean enough, it was not at all what I expected after seeing the photos and reading the reviews here. We expected: nice, fancy hotel. What we found was: nicely remodeled motel. This does not even approximate a boutique hotel, which one reviewer here called it. We found the Inn filled with smokers, too. People were smoking around the pool all day and night, in the restaurant even at breakfast, and outside their rooms on patios so that the smoke came drifting into our room. Although the pool is large and pleasant and landscaped with tropical plants, it has a bar and sound system speakers which play medium-loud music even in the morning. We were uncomfortable being here, as we prefer quiet and a smoke-free environment.

Summary of Stay: Nice hotel and swimming pool, good check in and check out experience. Breakfast and lunch was above average. The rooms were very nicely decorated and clean with flat screen and nice beds. Not many restaurants in the area, so expect to pay the 15 dollars to go to town.

Con: It was almost impossible to eat your lunch or lay by the pool without ciggy smoke wafting its way into beach sun experience.
I have nothing against smokers, and think this is a great place for smokers. From the bar maid to the staff, you can always find a drag and an ashtray.
Remember smoking in the room will cost you 100 bucks, now I know why I had to initial that statement at check in!

This is the first time I have left a review after staying in a hotel and I used to be a hotel executive. I did a substantial amount of research on the hotels in Key West prior to booking. I traveled with 2 young boys and DURING spring break so I wanted to try and find something nice and away from the downtown scene. This IS the hotel to stay at. The rooms are fantastic and quiet. The pool is amazing and HUGE. Yes it is on the northwestern side of the city, but it is a short cab ride or drive depending on the time you travel. I highly recommend this place. They serve breakfast and lunch onsite which we didn't see or use. Other reviews complained about the price. There is an IHOP right next door for those who wish to save money. There is also an Outback Steakhouse within a short walk from the hotel. We ate downtown once for breakfast at Blue Heaven and the reviews you read about that place are right on. Awesome food and fun atmosphere for all. We also had a dinner at the Turtle Crawl by the marina and that was wonderful as well and would recommend that also. Enjoy your time and DON'T miss the sunset at the square.

Very nice, clean rooms. Beautiful pool area. Comfortable beds and nice little toiletries. Bathroom a little small, but good shower. Flatscreen TV. About 7 mins. drive to the old part of town, very easy to get around. The hotel is next to a small highway (but not noisy) and then already seaviews. Rented bicycles from the concierge. Two computers with free Internet access in the lobby. Free daily newspaper. I am so glad we stayed here. It was a safe, relaxing and beautiful place to stay in.

Rooms were very nice, the perfect place to stay if you want an awesome pool and like being away from the noise of Duval Street. Beds were very comfotable, would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at the Inn the last week of February. The hotel is newly remodeled with some nice little extras. The Staff was helpful and the bar/pool area excellent. It is on the busy side of the island and away from Duval Street. They did an great job landscaping so you do not feel like you are next to a strip mall or highway. There were 5 of us and taxis were $25 each way. A little pricey but the rooms were less than $175 a night compared to $225+ closer to Duval.

Loved the pool area, beautiful relaxing tropical area, pictures don't lie. The room we had seemed alittle small for four of us. Over all the price was good but you are a long way from where all the action is. We had a rental car so it wasn't a problem. No veiw other than the pool area.
