My girlfriend and I went down during spring break and the hotel did a GREAT job as to put the college spring break people in the back of the hotel where they would not disturb the people just traveling on vacation. If there was any type of problem I think the hotel did a great job dealing with it the best that they could. The staff was fantastic and the pool is to die for. The drinks at the Tiki bar were ok but better if you were to go out to a bar on Duval. I would come back here again for sure the next time we come back into town. It was on the quieter side of the island and just far enough out where you would need to rent a scooter or driver your car into town so you do not get disturbed by the craziness of Duval Street at all hours.

The Inn at Key West was welcoming as soon as you walked in the door. The two front desk personnel were helping us before we even made it up to the hotel and explaining everything about the hotel and the area to us. We then went to the room. We were in one of the side rooms, I would recommend if you can to get a room in the main building, they seemed quieter with balconies. Our room wasn't bad, it wasn't huge but we didn't spend much time in the room. The only problem is it wasn't the cleanest, there was still hair in the bathroom, and a wet stain on the carpet. The one day we spent the afternoon at the pool and it is just beautiful. Half is done up like a beach with sand. The bar is wonderful and the girl even came around to take our order and deliver the drinks to us. We also had breakfast one morning on their patio. The food was very good, the service was very good, but it was hard to enjoy as I was getting bitten the whole time. I did seem to be the only one getting bothered though, my husband had no bites after breakfast.
Overall this was a very good hotel, the only downfall was the cleanliness of the room.

Room Tip: Get a room in the main building away from the parking lot.

Front desk was friendly. The rooms were very small and really in need of some vacuuming in certain areas! We had reserved a Deluxe King room, but given a Deluxe Double, due to what they said were maintenance issues, with no discount, just two drink comps at the bar. I think the King room would have at least had a bit more room to move around in, so that was disappointing. Very nice pool area. If you love to lounge poolside, this pool would be the one! It isn't within walking distance of Duval Street, so plan for that. Worth the price? Try to get a discount or deal if you can.

The Inn at Key West is a beautiful hotel. Upon entering the lobby, you immediately feel like you're somewhere tropical. The rooms are small, but nice and clean. We ate lunch at the outdoor restaurant, which was good and convienent. The pool is definitely the selling point of this hotel. We hung out at the pool, enjoying cocktails and the steel drum music all day. Staff was courteous, and free parking is a plus. The ONLY downside is the location. It is on a main highway, and while mapquest says only a couple miles to Duval, cabs are expensive. The hotel always called a cab for us which, was nice, but we would have preferred to be near Duval. If you just plan to relax at the hotel, and not much traveling back and forth to Duval, this is the place for you.

Well..i should start with the rate we paid. Was it a seasonal issue, any other reason - no ideas. Anyway for 350 usd a night for a standard room I wold expect a lot more.
THE GOOD
They do have a large pool, free parking area, breakfast is available at their restaurant, actually they do have everything you need - a shelter (room), meal, pool.
THE BAD
The place is situated faraway from the attraction sites and you won't be able to get there by feet. More than 3 miles, part of the way with no sidewalk while being on the main way - traffic is heavy. You do not want to walk there in the evening.
We had a car and went to the main city walking area and parked there easy.
As already noted by somebody it is really hard to drive out even if you turn right.
My main concern was it was noisy there. In the night. Early morning they star to pick up the garbage or whatever - wake up call, Sir! Although you did not request it.
The chicken.. OH, the chicken...They do have chicken everywhere. Especially at your window at the time the sunrise is to come. And they work hard. I mean they do sound good. Noway you miss your early breakfast.
Part of the roms face the ocean - mean it the main road, the rest face the pool area and the back yard.
We stayed on the back. The room is so small you hardly walk along the bed to reach the bathroom. The building is a 2-floor one with visible aging signs.
No wireless internet available in the rooms (is it XXI century?).
No meal available in the evening.
Breakfast excluded from the price.
The reception staff did not appear really nice and accomodating although gave short reply to my every question. Still I felt like disturbing them from talking to each other.

So all in all I was not comfortable there and still wonder why did I choose to stay there and what did I pay for? Definitely not worth the money.

Room Tip: Probably the pool view would be the most quiet.

We didn't like a room orinted to the street so we asked for a different one, which was oriented to the pool area and that we liked. The whole hotel benefits from the pool area. Nice stay.
