“We were misled....”

We should have called and checked but when a website says internet and tiki bar you travel accordingly. Internet was only available in the lobby and the breakfast room. Tiki bar was closed. Our floor in the room left our feet black (yucky).
On a positive note the bed and pillows we're comfy ; staff nice and friendly.
This motel needs some TLC ; tv was from the 80s and the bathrooms were old... But clean...
Pool area was lovely... Please note that while you can sit near the water there isn't any beach.
We stayed on a friends recommendation that it was a value priced , but I would not recommend until the rooms are updated for the price.

Booking included New Year's Eve, quite a busy time in KW. The price for the room was reasonable during that time. Check-in wasn't available until 3 pm but they allowed us to store our luggage in the back room in the meantime. We were given the first floor as requested. It is above ground level with either steps or ramp as an option. Exterior maintenance and landscaping very good. Pet friendly, no children allowed under 16 years of age. The pool area was spotless and good size. The hot tub was set to perfect temp. If there were limiting hours, we were not aware of them.

The room was quite spacious with 2 double beds with side tables, a large table and comfortable chair, large comfortable sitting chair, padded bench, and console with closets on either side, 3 large drawers underneath, and TV with sufficient channels available. A small frig and microwave worked fine. The "kitchen" prep area was spacious.

One bed had a slight slant to the middle but was comfortable. Multiple pillows were thick and firm. The air conditioner worked but didn't cool the room as much as we desired set at 60 degrees, felt more like 70 and a bit stuffy at night. The balcony was spacious with a table and 2 chairs. The sliding door was difficult to close. The draperies kept out the light when desired.

The bathroom had peeling paint, the water temp in the sink couldn't be changed. There was plenty of hot water in the shower but the temp wasn't consistent after setting. The towels were good absorbent quality and plentiful. Daily cleaning was as expected or better according to our schedule which was accommodated.

The breakfast area was large and comfortable with indoor and outdoor seating on the water. The only proteins were white milk and peanut butter but was adequate for a continental breakfast. It was open from 8-10 am and well stocked. It included a variety of bagels, fresh pastries, ready to make waffles, oatmeal, apples, cereal. Regular, decaf coffee, herbal tea, juice, and hot chocolate were available.

It's located near major grocery chains, pharmacies, and a variety of restaurants for easy walking access and even easier biking access.

My only disappointment was having WiFi access only in the front office and breakfast area. I used my phone as a hotspot.

We'd stay here again and recommend it. Would have given it 4 stars if WiFi was available thruout the property.

We loved our room and the complimentary bathroom items. We had a pretty nice view,of course we were hoping for a water view. The most disappointing thing was the continental breakfast.
It was from 8-10 and we got there at 9:00 and all the waffle batter and syrup was gone and no supervisor or anyone to contact. then while were eating, three women are talking very loudly and swearing . Just being offensive. Again no employee around to do something about it.Our nice morning didn't start out to nice.

Room Tip: ask what view you have and maybe ask if the air conditioner is on the patio where you sit

We have stayed at this property for 6 years in a row so we know what to expect. It's very old, with peeling wallpaper in the bathroom and peeling laminate cabinets, but the cleaning staff does a great job. We stay here for many reasons. The little waterfront area is a quiet oasis to lounge and relax. The pool and hot tub are wonderful, no children are allowed and the price is more "affordable" than most places in Key West. Our only complaint is that the two double beds we had in 104 had the worst mattresses ever. Sagging, lumpy, really uncomfortable and so noisy we kept waking up when someone rolled over or got out of bed and we are not large people. Next year I will call and if the mattresses have not been replaced I will book elsewhere and will be very sad because we love it here.

Ridiculous prices per night for a very low quality hotel. Folks working there were nice. The owner of this hotel needs to spend some money and fix the basic things and power wash etc. I am surprised they are not fined for some of the obvious things that need to be fixed. Plaster, paint, seal, clean. REALLY....never again for me

Room Tip: go somewhere else

It is quiet, and away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Key West, along a commercial strip but you don't see that from the hotel. The rooms are in the back. The hotel layout is odd - it seems to have been assembled over time rather than laid out properly at the beginning. The main hotel section is two stories in an absolutely plain rectangular building, and has a dated feel to it. Our room was basic, but roomy and clean, with no smells that other trip advisors mentioned. A refurbishment would help this place a lot. Nice pool and hot tub, but don't plan on any ocean swimming. The setting is pretty nice - next to the water, with palm trees and so on.

First day we arrived they had this girl at front desk with blonde short hair with awful customer service and no smile, I asked her if there were any places to eat close to the hotel and her only answer was "no" thats it! we walked around and found several places to eat she was just an awful person. We had to wait for 3 hours for our room to be ready because we arrived a lil early which is understandable. We found the room to be dirty the furniture was eaten by rats and the room smelled like smoke back door did not open although we paid for a patio room you couldn't use the patio door ??! . The first night i was not able to sleep i heard rats eating furniture and when we woke up we found rat poop on the toilet seat!!!! i was horrified they eventually sent a person to check on it he said it was "lizard poop" really?? they eventually gave us a much better room with nicer furniture and no smoke smell so it is about how lucky you are of getting a nice room and we paid for a suite so first room looked like a motel room first night was awful and second night was really nice. If it would of not been for the blonde awful front desk person i would of given 3 stars they need to get rid of her. The only nice thing i have to say about this hotel is that they allow dogs and they have a nice "beach" view and a pool.
