We just returned from Key West where we spent a week with friends staying at the Sunrise Suites. We had a great time in the area and we found it to be an extremely enjoyable vacation. It is a beautiful island filled with the most friendly and interesting people who try to make you welcome there.
Our vacation has enhanced by our accomodations at the Sunrise Suites that was two bedroom unit that was very well furnished and maintained. It has a full kitchen with a with all of the amenities and with enough space to prepare meals . The living room was also well furnished and comfortable. The surrounding grounds were beautifully landscaped with palm trees and various tropical plants that added to our experience there. The owner of the unit, Sue Rachell ,was very helpful and accommodating when a last minute change to our reservation was necessary and there is a onsite manager available 24 hours per day to help with any maintenance concerns there. We had such a wonderful time we look forward to returning there next year.
We stayed at this nice place for 3 nights. The previous contact with the owners was very good. The provided us with clear and specific information about the place. The condo was very clean and comfortable with a nice "ambiance". We even found some basic supplies like soap, toilet paper and paper tissue .
There were only two issues that kind of disappointed us: We did not have a beach within walking distance. Public transportation was a challenge to figure-out. There was an outdated scheduled at the condo that really confused us. Fortunately, there was an information office on the site with a helpful person who guided us.
Oh........ just a recommendation : add a safety bar for elderly people to get in the bathtub
This sis a place to go back.

What a nice place to stay. Everything is fully furnished. There was even extra things for the beach such as towels, coolers, etc... The unit has a washer/dryer, which was very convenient. There is a mini grocery store within walking distance. I loved the location. It is walking distance to two really nice restaurants. The pool/hot tub is located right across from the condo. The owners were very helpful with a list of things to do and places to eat in Key West. There is a binder in the condo with all the information you need to find out how to get around. I highly recommend staying here. We're really glad we did.

It was great to have a place to stretch out after a long day of sightseeing, and especially nice not to have to rush out for breakfast first thing in the morning, and be able to plan each day was a nice stress free start to the day.

We loved our two-week stay in your condo. We thought we'd died and gone to heaven.
Lush gardens, nice pool; spacious, sparkling apartment with everything in the kitchen except a chef.
Great weather, fabulous seafood, quirky neighbourhoods; lively sunset fiesta in Mallory square every night.
We'd like to repeat this next March.

About every six months we get the Key West "itch" and feel the most comfortable and the most serene at the Rachells' "Tropical Escape." In the past several years we have been renting from the Rachells (sometimes twice a year) we have never had an issue that caused us one second of concern or regret. It is like our home away from home. John and I are avid patrons and will continue to contact them to make lodging arrangements whenever we get that Key West "itch." We are currently making plans for our June 2014 visit.
If you do not care to be in the middle of Duval Street, and prefer to have serene peace and quiet for those times when you want to rest and relax, this place is the place to stay. Also, the Key West transit has a stop within stones throw from the complex (right across from the little market) within the community. There is always taxi service, and if you are really adventurous like John and I, no better way to soak up Key West then by cycling or walking.
There are so many sites to see, so many places to experience, so many activities ... it is impossible for anyone to be bored! My favorite places are West Martello (Garden Club), Schooners Wharf, Roostica (on Stock Island), Willie T's (on Duvall), The Butterfly and Nature Conservatory, Sandy's Cafe, Fort Zachary, and anything that gets me out on the ocean or gulf. :-)
So if ever you need a place to stay, John and I recommend this place highly!
