Owner description: As the only air-service, we are by far the most exciting and convenient way to reach the Dry Tortugas, one of North America's most inaccessible National Parks. The Park lies in the blue-green waters of the Gulf of Mexico, 70 miles due west of Key West, FL. Low altitude sightseeing flight, great snorkeling, pristine beaches, tour Fort Jefferson & bird watching. Morning, Afternoon & full day tours.

We booked the half day trip to Dry Tortugas. Quite pricey but we were splashing out (no pun intended) and didnt fancy 3 hours each way on the ferry. Arrived in plenty of time, checked in and were given a cooler with drinks and snorkel gear. If you have time while you are waiting, the hanger round the corner has a small collection of classic aircraft. The plane seats about 10, and everyone gets a window seat and headphones. We departed on time from the runway and headed west. The views are fantastic and our pilot Evan gave a really good running commentary. We saw turtles, sharks, shipwrecks and even cuban refugee boats abandonded on the small islands. The flight never got above above 1000ft and was very smooth. If you are worried about flying on a small plane - don't! These things are built like a tank and landing on water wasn't any rougher than landing on a runway. We arrived at the island and taxi'd in. The fort has a small exhibition and a self directed tour. It is worth climing to the top for the views. After a quick picnic we walked over to the beach and snorkelled in the clear water. We aren't the strongest of swimmers so we didn't go too far from the beach but we still saw quite a few fish and coral. While we were in the water, the ferry left and the beach ended up almost deserted. The flight back was just as great as the flight out with Evan banking the plane a couple of times so we all got a good view. This trip was the highlight of our whole holiday and my only regret is that we didn't do the whole day tour - maybe next time!

We took the 1/2 day tour to the Dry Tortugas. Our piolet was so good. The flight there and back was amazing. The coolest part was seeing all the sea turtles below. Snorkeling at Fort Jefferson was great. Even saw a Nurse Shark where we snorkeled. There was a saltwater crocodile hanging out under the bridge into the fort. I highly recommend the morning trip. The ferry doesn't get there till you are about to leave so you and the other 7 people from your plane pretty much have the place to yourself

Unique experience flying on a seaplane...my boys loved it. From the time we checked in to when we left, the whole experience was wonderful. Friendly, helpful ground staff and fun pilot both contributed by giving inside tips and knowledge of the best snorkeling and what to see in the fort. The flight over is the perfect length - long enough to really enjoy the plane and experience, but short enough to be interesting.

If you take the first flight out, you're on the island for almost 2 hours before the ferry - and all the people -arrive. Feels very private, relaxed and special. We thought 1/2 day was the right length of time, enough to take a quick walk around the fort and then enjoy the beautiful, calm, clear waters. Could not have asked for a better trip. Well worth the price.

We took the last flight of the day and had a great flight over with one other family. Check in was so easy and everyone so friendly. The captain was very knowlegable and safety was top notch! The views were spectacular and such a quick flight to the Dry Tortugas. We arrived as the ferry was leaving and had the whole place almost to ourselves.. There was another family that flew back with us already on the island but other than that no one!

Spectacular sights and amazing snorkeling. We saw sooo many fish and different coral's. A nice size reef shark (that scared us a bit LOL) and a few baracuda as well.

I can honestly say that anyone who is considering going to the Dry Tortugas and Fort Jefferson to take this seaplane. Total time from start to finish is 4 hours. It didn't take up our whole day and we werent stuck on a boat for two hours!

Thank you for such a great time.. .I have pictures that look like covers of travel magazines...

Early and late flights were booked so the three of us took the noon one. No problem! The flight is awesome and the views are incredible from above. We got there and did a quick tour of the fort and then hit the beach. We were snorkeling as the ferry boat driver was trying to round up all his passengers so they could get underway. Then we were sipping a cool one on the beach as the ferry pulled away. We were the ONLY people we could see along that stretch of beach. That was cool. Awhile later we met Gary, our pilot, back at the plane and had beer under the shade of the wing, sitting in the water, as the rest of our group came back (no. Gary didn't want one). We were in the air no more than maybe 15 minutes when we passed the ferry boat up on its way back to Key West. That was the icing on the cake. We got there, had some fun, and got back with plenty of time to cruise Duval Street. Worth every penny!
