We loved our trip to the Dry Tortugas with Key West Seaplane. Evan was an excellent tour guide and pilot. We left Key West at 2 pm and arrived at Fort Jefferson just as the ferry was leaving. We basically had the whole island to ourselves. The snorkeling was fantastic. We saw thousands of fish and tons of corral. The snorkel equipment provided by Key West Seaplane was high quality, and they provided a cooler full of water and soda to take with us on the island. If you bring your own beer, they will also provide coolers and ice for the beer. This was the highlight of Key West vacation.

Amazing views from the seaplane. Evan (the pilot) did a great job of narrating the trip. The water and beach at Dry Tortugas was unbelievable. Clear, blue water and clean beaches. This is a must do. It is worth every penny.

We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and felt the expense was well worth it. The pilot was very service oriented and pointed out shipwrecks, turtles, islands etc along the way. We arrived on Dry Tortuga at 8:30 - at least two hours ahead of the ferry crowd - and had the island to the 10 of us. Julie, the tour guide on Dry Tortuga was very good. The flights were a great thrill.

Great trip out to Fort Jefferson. A little pricier than the ferry, but we took the first flight out and my wife and I were literally the only two in the water around the fort once we got there. Plus great views on the way. Only down side is that your time is limited on the island unless you really splurge and pay for the whole day.

Thus was truly amazing! Last time in key west in took a boat out the the dry tortugas. Loved the island but hated the long ride. I told my husband about the seaplane and we decided to give it a try. Now I will say I do not like plane rides but you fly so low it's wonderful! We saw 75 or more sea turtles, rats and sharks, 2 shipwrecks and more. The ride in the seaplane was well worth it! The bonus is the time at the fort! It is a must!
