Seaside Cafe at the Mansion
Ranked #1 of 508 Restaurants in Key West
Price range: $10 - $20
Description: The Seaside Cafe at the Southernmost Mansion is a family-owned and operated Island eatery just a few steps from the warm waters of the Atlantic Ocean. A new addition to the Key West landscape, but already well known for island classics such as their Mansion Mojitos, Honey-Butter Lobster Biscuits, and stunning artisan wood-fired pizzas. The Seaside Cafe is located on the grounds of Southernmost House, a charming Victorian mansion on the "quiet end" of Duval Street.

I’m a food truck groupie, so when I had a chance to go to the Seaside Cafe at the Mansion, I jumped at the opportunity. Dude, this place is not your average food truck. It’ll knock your socks off. The food is fresh and creative—think charming little Italian trattoria with an island twist.

The conch fritters come with a perfectly balanced Key Lime honey mustard sauce—a little tart, a little sweet, and a whole lotta love. The truffle fries are FABULOUS, and the piña colada dipping sauce that’s served with the coconut shrimp may cause you to lose yourself and lick the container clean. But what put me over the edge was the Prosciutto Caprese sandwich: mozzarella, prosciutto, balsamic tomatoes, arugula, and basil aioli on homemade bread that’s baked when you order your sandwich. Bread baked to order—are you kidding me? Run—do not walk—to the Seaside Cafe at the Mansion. It’ll make you happy in a way you didn’t know was possible.

It’s hard to make a good fish dip but this chef did it! The best in town and as a local I’ve tasted them all. The conch fritters are the best in town too and the basil dip is phenomenal. This chef put a new twist on coconut shrimp with a piña colada sauce that is to die for! The waffles and lobster put California’s waffles and chicken to shame. I will go back tomorrow and bring friends. The pizza and truffle fries are stunning too . Michael Halpern (the owner) and his son Raif (the chef) have succeeded in delivering a unique concoction that is surely welcome in Key West. I almost don’t want to write this review because the tables are going to start filling up to watch the sunset view right on the water while eating their divine food from heaven. I am not kidding nor exaggerating.....enjoy

Coconut shrimp was wonderful and the truffle fries were the best I ever had . I’m taking a pizza home. Rivals Louie’s backyard for view.

We stopped here for a cocktail by the water and this place is truly a destination! We were greeted by the owner as we entered the mansion and proceeded to the outside bar along the water. We were a large group celebrating a friends birthday. The owner brought us over two delicious wood oven pizzas to go with our beers and mojitos which were amazing and beautifuly served with rock sugar sticks. The pizza was so good we ordered three more for the group. It’s absolutely spectacular view and there are comfortable couches to sit on to enjoy the view as well. This place is a 10 out of 10!

Best and most unique and creative pizzas on the island! Ambiance can not be beat nor can the food. An incredible seaside dining experience! Wood fired oven makes the flavors melt in your mouth. Chef and owner have done a fabulous job giving Key West an upscale pizza cafe! Keep the creativity coming! Can't wait to return....
