I’m a food truck groupie, so when I had a chance to go to the Seaside Cafe at the Mansion, I jumped at the opportunity. Dude, this place is not your average food truck. It’ll knock your socks off. The food is fresh and creative—think charming little Italian trattoria with an island twist.
The conch fritters come with a perfectly balanced Key Lime honey mustard sauce—a little tart, a little sweet, and a whole lotta love. The truffle fries are FABULOUS, and the piña colada dipping sauce that’s served with the coconut shrimp may cause you to lose yourself and lick the container clean. But what put me over the edge was the Prosciutto Caprese sandwich: mozzarella, prosciutto, balsamic tomatoes, arugula, and basil aioli on homemade bread that’s baked when you order your sandwich. Bread baked to order—are you kidding me? Run—do not walk—to the Seaside Cafe at the Mansion. It’ll make you happy in a way you didn’t know was possible.
