Owner description: See the best of Key West on the tour that has been entertaining visitors since 1958. Our expert 'engineers' and friendly staff have delighted guests with the legends and tales of Ernest Hemingway, and Tennessee Williams and the stories of the pirates, Indians, wreckers and artists who called this island home. 90 minutes and over 100 points of interest. No Key West vacation is complete without the world famous Conch Tour Train.

We were a group of 4 and made the decision to try the Conch Tour Train. Be aware that for 4 adults you'll be paying a little over $120 for the tour.

The driver is entertaining as your getting bounced around in your seat over the rough roads in Key West. My wife became a little "car sick" from all the bouncing. The first 50 minutes you need to stay on the train as it takes you through the city streets. You get to see all the main attractions, but you're driving past them. There is a 2nd part of the tour after the train stops for several minutes to allow a restroom break. On this 2nd part of the tour, you can get off at stop C to tour the area on your own.

For us, this seemed to be very expensive for what we got. We would have rather rented of of those 4 passenger vehicles at ~$90 for 4 hours, and done a self guided tour.

A friend recomended taking this train ride through Key West and are happy that we did! We were able to scope out the areas we wanted to go back to see. Even won the Trivia contest given by our driver! Definitely would recommend!

Great fun and the best overview of the whole island. Ride the entire route once then pick some stops the next time round. Easy and fun experience for all ages.

My husband and I did our seventh or eighth iteration of this tour during a visit to Key West over a rather soggy Memorial Day weekend visit to the island. From the outside, it looks rather "cheesy" and "touristy" so you might have a hard time convincing your "too cool for school" teenagers to partake in it, but it is really good for seniors and elementary school aged kids. It lasts about two hours total and takes you on one of the best "windshield tours" of one of America's most historic cities, and if you listen and pay attention to your driver tour guide, you will learn a tremendous amount about the island and what makes it so unique. It's also a great opportunity to take a two hour break from walking or bar hopping, and it enables you to scout out many off the beaten path places on the island that you might want to explore after the tour is over. It's a great value, the driver/tour guides are all friendly, and you will really enjoy learning about how this funky little island has had an incredible impact on American history since it first became one of our territorial possessions way back in the early 1800s.
