Owner description: See the best of Key West on the tour that has been entertaining visitors since 1958. Our expert 'engineers' and friendly staff have delighted guests with the legends and tales of Ernest Hemingway, and Tennessee Williams and the stories of the pirates, Indians, wreckers and artists who called this island home. 90 minutes and over 100 points of interest. No Key West vacation is complete without the world famous Conch Tour Train.

Great fun and the best overview of the whole island. Ride the entire route once then pick some stops the next time round. Easy and fun experience for all ages.

My husband and I did our seventh or eighth iteration of this tour during a visit to Key West over a rather soggy Memorial Day weekend visit to the island. From the outside, it looks rather "cheesy" and "touristy" so you might have a hard time convincing your "too cool for school" teenagers to partake in it, but it is really good for seniors and elementary school aged kids. It lasts about two hours total and takes you on one of the best "windshield tours" of one of America's most historic cities, and if you listen and pay attention to your driver tour guide, you will learn a tremendous amount about the island and what makes it so unique. It's also a great opportunity to take a two hour break from walking or bar hopping, and it enables you to scout out many off the beaten path places on the island that you might want to explore after the tour is over. It's a great value, the driver/tour guides are all friendly, and you will really enjoy learning about how this funky little island has had an incredible impact on American history since it first became one of our territorial possessions way back in the early 1800s.

We love the Conch Train Tour! My family has taken it several times and we always enjoy it. Our train driver, Amy, was the best. Very knowledgeable and friendly.

This tour was horrible and our guide waa even worse. Next time I am going to try the trolley. The trolley has more places to get off to really see everything. The only places to get off on this tour was the gift shop and a bathroom break. At the gift shop we were told 20 min and he would make an announcement. No announcement was made. 6 of us were on the train and one was still in the long line. We almost had yo get off and hope there would be room for 8 on the next train. At the bathroom stop, he said we had 25 min. My son went into the bathroom and the guide was like I'd he coming back, we have to go... let the child per. There were no stops near anything. We learned later that most of what we wanted to see waa I walking distance, so we saw all except the southern most point. It may have also been walking distance, but no one has good directions... never again will I use this tour. It makes me sad because I loved Historic tours of America in DC.
