“Wonderful history”
Reviewed April 17, 2014

There was a line to get in to the home but it was worth the wait. Our first tour guide spoke very quickly and was hard to understand so we left that tour and went around the home on our own. Then we went on a tour with another guide and learned much more about what we had seen. The grounds were lovely and we loved seeing the six-toed cats. This is a very interesting bit of Key West history. You can save a little if you use your AAA card for a discount.

Thank you very much for your excellent review! We are happy to hear that you did find a tour guide that fit your needs. Each tour guide disseminates the information in a slightly different way depending on their character. Glad you liked the gardens and the cats. Thanks again for your review.

“Very cool place to check out.”
Reviewed April 16, 2014

This house is a must visit in Key West. Even if you've never even heard of the amazing author Ernest Hemingway you still have to check it out, its an amazingly beautiful house and surrounding gardens. They offer a guided tour, and i suggest you take it, you'll learn a lot. Its also cool to walk around and see all the decedents of Hemingway's cats, most of them are friendly and will let you pet them.

“Worth the wait in line”
Reviewed April 16, 2014

Tour guides are well informed, the house is in great shape, and you can really get the feel for Hemingway's life during that part of his writing career. Plus...the cats!
