Entrance fee is a bit steep but was greatly reduced for me as an active duty military member. Overall it was a fun stop during my time in Key West. The guided tour is highly recommended.

Very interesting look into one of USA's most prolific author. The memorabilia collection was extensive, rare and well preserved. Made you think about the author churning out his work and obtaining his muse while on these grounds. Reccomended stop in Key West.

We visited the Hemingway Home while in Key West. Hemingway is one of my favorite writers, and I thought it would be interesting to visit a place where he lived and wrote for several years. The home/museum is staffed by docents who are very knowledgeable and helpful. They answered any questions that we had. We opted to explore the property on our own instead of taking the guided tour. Expect to spend a little over an hour there, but more time could easily be spent in the gardens taking the place in.

The house is interesting, decorated much as it was when Hemingway was in residence. Lots of posters of movies his books were made into. Don't know if they were there when he was. Cats roaming around, entertaining visitors. Only issue was that there were a lot of people visiting the day we were there making it somewhat noisy and our tour guide's voice didn't carry all hat well.

Thank you for your review. We are glad you visited. We were extremely busy last week with the Hemingway Days Festival going on at Sloppy Joe's in celebration of Hemingway's birthday.

Another fine tour in Key West. I wish that I had taken this tour years ago. It was interesting to see how the man lived and wrote so many years ago. The cats were interesting and well behaved and appeared to be extremely well taken care of. I found the history of the building and of Hemingway to be extremely interesting, to the point that I may actually download and read some of his works. Another great tour guide here!!
