“Interesting history”

Toured Key West by bike and this was one of my stops. Great looking grounds and free unless you do the tour. Truman annex area is worth the trip. Beautiful scenery and homes in the area. Right near Fort Zachary too.

Thank you very much for your 5-star review! A bike tour is definately the way to see Key West. I hope you found our bike rack located just inside the entrance gate.

Hemingway only stayed here for a short time in the 30's and early 40's but nonetheless the house contains a good number of photos and memorabilia concerning him and his family. Good, knowledgeable guides make this a good way to spend an hour or so.

“Beautiful old home”
Reviewed February 7, 2013

I've been before, but wanted to show family & friends who were in town for a holiday. I love the property & all the adorable cats that roam around EVERYWHERE. Our guide this time was a bit lame. He seemed very un-enthusiastic and basically mumbled his way through the tour the few times he did open his mouth. I think there were way too many people in our group, which also didn't help. But, it's definitely worth seeing & hopefully you'll get a much better guide, as we've had in the past.

“Well worth the time and money”

You have a choice to take a quided tour or tour on your own. TAKE THE GUIDED TOUR. Our guide was knowledgable, interesting, and enthusiastic. He really seemed to have a definate interest in Hemingway and not just for his job. Lots of interesting storys and history.
