Very interesting tour. It doesn't take long, the guides are very informative. You can stay after you tour and look at the grounds on your own. I would like to see them refurbish parts of the house that need repair and paint. All around a pretty good sight to see.

Thank you for your review, glad you took the tour. Happy to see you enjoyed the gardens too. We have a re-painting project scheduled for 2013, as well as a scheduled tenting to protect against termites. Last year's projects--a new roof and gutters--were a priority to the painting now scheduled for this year.

I enjoyed my visit and tour, but I felt that the place was very crowded (even on a Tuesday in beginning of Jan). The guide gave us some interesitng facts, but I've had more interesting and exciting guides before. The house is cool, the cats are very cute (and this comes from a dog person). Worth the $13 as long as your expectations are not too high.

Thank you for your review. The high tourist season is from Christmas through Easter, and most attractions in Key West experience delays in getting the larger number of visitors into their attractions. Our guides are trained to provide an educational and factual tour, with some entertaining anecdotes. Thanks for your appreciation of the cats.

I was very disappointed with the staff at the entrance to the museum and the staff in the book store. They were there only killing time. They had no interest in making you feel welcome or offer any assistance. This is a tourist destination. If you don't like your job then quit and let someone else take it who likes contact with people!!! Very disappointing.

Excellent opportunity to learn more about Hemmingway. Enjoyed the tour but felt that our guide was on "automatic" when he started his tour. The humor felt somewhat "old". Would nevertheless recommend the tour

Thank you for your review. Your comments will certainly be passed along to the General Manage to address the issues you raised about our tours. Thank you for your recommendation of the tour in lieu of this one isolated incident.

Near the down area, the famed Hemingway house is a unique property well worth the entry fee. I was intrigued by the history here.
