No, it's not the most exciting light house, yes, it's in the middle of the city. But - it gives you the best view over Key West and the museum delivers insights into the life of a lighthouse keeper.

We enjoyed the climb to the top of the light house but our highlight was talking to the gentleman in front. He gave us tips on the best restaurants and he was right on. Went back to talk to him several times to get more. In Key west for 3 weeks. Got the inside scoop!

Having never visited a lighthouse before founded it very interesting. We did climb to the top and the view was breathtaking. The grounds arebeautiful and the figures scattered around the ground unique. Very historic place to visit.

Just a typical lighthouse. The 88 steps are one way only so it gets scary when theirs groups coming up and down at the same time. I feel like it would be more legit if it was closer to the water as it's pretty far inland.

Unlike other, more popular lighthouses, this one is shorter and therefore more accessible. The observation deck has nice picture guides to points of interest, and on a clear day, you can easily see to the horizon. The informational panels in the keeper's quarters will be interesting to history buffs.
