The staff working the morning of 3/25/13 were great. We showed up at 11am and had come from an AWFUL stay at the King Sail Resort in Marathon, I had gotten no sleep at all. They didn't have a room available just then, but told us to give them an hour. We did, and they had our room ready. The bed was AMAZING! We stayed 2 nights at this resort. It is on the opposite end of the island from Duvall St and Mallory Square, but we walked it one night and the walk was beautiful and didn't take all that long. Probably the most memorable part of this stay was the breakfast host. He was so cute! He worked his butt off and was right there when anyone needed anything! I would recommend this hotel over and over. If we ever get back to Key West, this is where we are staying!

Room was large, Bed very comfortable, room was very clean, had to drive the car to breakfast room, was to far for wife to walk. Great breakfast! Staff was very nice and we enjoyed our stay. The ocean is across the street, The pool area looked great, food and drink available, ocean beach area is down the road a mile or more. We would stay there again. Do not worry about the airplane noise at night, no flights at night.

Room Tip: May seem a bit pricey, especially during spring break. Remember location and special events will di...

At first I wasn't sure how I felt about it, because it was set up motel style, not hotel. But, it was so nice. The rooms were nice and roomy, and we had a wonderful view of the pool, which was awesome. The tv was big, the beds were comfortable, and the bathrooms were nice. Will definitely stay here again if I get the opportunity.

-room was nice with a view of the pool, which is a big, plant-surrounded patio area with its own tiki bar and plenty of lounge chairs
-no real good views of the ocean, which is close, but across the road with no beach access (rocky shoreline)
-there is a decent public sandy beach about a mile down the street
-continental breakfast area is very small and located in a separate building from most of the rooms
-tile floors in the outdoor hall areas are very slick and pool up with water in the rain
-walking across multiple parking lots in the rain to get to breakfast was a hassle
-breakfast room was full so we were directed to an outdoor patio area out back that was drippy and wet
-pool and pool area closes at 8pm - very early!
-no hot tub/ whirlpool

Stayed here after reading TripAdvisor reviews of this property & cancelling reservations for a hotel in "old town" Key West. Excellent decision! Too bad this property wasn't closer to "old town"-it's a quiet, clean, comfortable beautiful property with a great breakfast, good Tiki Bar w/ excellent Margaritas on the rocks @ the very nice temperature pool. We enjoyed an oceanfront room with spectacular sunrises although the poolview rooms slightly less expensive offered a similar view.
Breakfast offerings good: coffee, waffles, hard cooked eggs, variety of breads, cereals, yogurts, Jimmy Dean sandwiches along w/ juices, milks, cereals, etc..
Old Town Trolley makes stops @ Best Western as promised. Drawback is trolley stops after 5:30pm so if you want to spend time in old town, it's up to you to get back to the hotel. Be prepared for a taxi ride..

Room Tip: No fitness center available here

I thought the hotel was great and the staff were all very friendly. I'm not sure why people would give this a lower rating because it's a few miles away from Duvall Street because I would think you would know that when you booked the hotel. I personally liked being away from the crowds some of the time. The pool is great! The bartender (Judy) is amazing. I was a little disappointed there was no direct access to the beach (the beach across the street has a pedestrian walkway/sidewalk next to it) no sand... just about a mile down the road you can sun tan on the public beach. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. Oh and the airport noise wasn't that noticeable...

Room Tip: Second floor (we were on the bottom and the people walking in high-heels above me were a little anno...

We came here with my wife and her sister, and a 6 month baby. It's true that the hotel is far away from downtown (7 minutes by car) but we knew this and rented a car so it wasn't a big deal. We had room 225 with a pool view, in the first floor. It was great! The whole balcony has a net to prevent mosquitoes get in! That's great for leaving the doors opened to have the morning fresh air! You can hear the planes on the afternoon, but we hadn't any sleeping problems, in fact we never heard airplanes at night! (this hotel is near the local airport).

Breakfast is very good: toasts with butter, peanut butter, jams, etc., fresh "do your own" WAFFLES with syrup!!!!, different kind of cereals, fruits (only bananas and oranges, could be better...), artificial juices (orange, apples, grapes, etc.), coffees, etc.

Service is great! We payed in advance the stay through despegar.com (Argentina) and we got a U$S 225 aprox. for 4 nights (31st March through 3rd April). When we did the check inn, in front of us there was a lady that was asking for a one night stay, and she recieved a written paper with a U$S 199 cost... It hurt!

In the overall we would come back here!!

Kind regards!!
