The hotel is in the heart of Key West, within easy walking distance of all the main sights and entertainment. It has free parking. We had a King suite, in a little bungalow alongside the pool. Considering its downtown location, it was quiet and the bed was REALLY comfortable. The room was spotlessly clean and had a coffee maker and a refrigerator.Bathroom decor was a little tired though. A nice complimentary continental breakfast is served by the poolside each morning. This hotel has character and heart, its friendly staff make you feel welcome and I would definately recommend it, particularly if you are looking for something different from the usual hotel box room. Thanks Key Lime Inn for a great stay.

This was our third stay at the Key Lime Inn , the location is great as it is close enough to the action of Duval St. to walk yet far enough away that the noise and partying doesn't disturb when you wish to relax. The pool is sparkling clean as are the rooms. The staff are polite and very helpful. I guarantee that this was not our last visit to Key West or to the Key LIme Inn.

We were hardly aware of street sounds and of other people staying there, and loved our encounters with "Rodney the Rooster"! Room was clean and comfortable, loved the patio outside our door, staff was most helpful and knowledgable. Such a nice breakfast by the pool. Easy walk to Duval Street, good restaurants close-by, on-site parking was a blessing. Take the tram ride to see Key West; some of the drivers will tell you why there are roosters in Key West!

I chose this hotel because it advertised free parking. When I arrived, the only space available was the handicap space. I drove around and came back and parked in the space to check-in or I would have had to roll my luggage a mile down the street. The staff was very flippant about the parking. I mentioned that their ad stated there was free parking. They laughed and said, there is on the street. This was not very comforting as I was alone and had to get up in the dark to go to work. The rest of the stay was the same way. The rooms are bare essentials-not even an ad for a restaurant. Everything is quite old including the carpet.

It is a great location, only a few blocks from Duval street. We stayed in #2, a separate cabin near Truman The room was small, but very quaint and cozy. The bathroom was small, but functional. There were no surprises and on site parking was available.

You will hear roosters in the morning, but so what, it makes the stay even more entertaining. I slept through it the 2nd morning. The staff was helpful in selecting places to eat, and Sunny's deli is a must stop.

We stayed for 3 nights in mid-March, really liked the fact that it is in Old Town, the staff we encountered we're all helpful and pleasant (except 1 morning desk clerk seemed rather unfriendly, but I only asked her 1 question). We liked the Caribbean village feel of the inn, our room was fine, except maybe the inn could look at upgrading/replacing the beds/pillows, bed was little too soft and the pillows a little stiff (don't mean to sound like Goldilocks!). Yes, the rooster does crow at all hours, but the A/C unit helped drown his sound out and if you're afraid the rooster noises will bother you, bring along some ear plugs. But there's hardly anywhere you'll go in Key West where you won't hear roosters. The bathroom was fine for our standards, I believe most of the rooms have only showers (no bath tubs), but are you really looking to luxuriate in a bath tub while in Key West anyway? Shower had a little mildew on the wall at the floor level where the curtain touches the wall.

The breakfast by the pool was nice, mostly bagels, english muffins, danish, breads and yogurt. (If you're looking for a more hearty and filling breakfast walk a few blocks to Camille's on Simonton St.) The walk to the harbor and Mallory Square takes 15-20 minutes but if you don't want to walk along Duval then try Elizabeth or Simonton streets, both streets providing a nice walk past old homes. Once you park you car (if you're lucky enough to get a spot in the lot), leave it there and walk, rent a bike or scooter. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would return even with the slightly uncomfortable bed situation.

Staff - friendly. Location - ok for distance to Duval street but really bad for street noise. It's right on the busiest street and since we'd never been to the Keys before had no idea just how noisey it was going to be. I think the owners should spend a night in one of their standard queen rooms. Maybe then they would freshen up the interior paint of the room. Both the room and bathroom really needed it. The mattress is the hardest thing we have ever slept on. Will not be going back!
