The condo had a nice washer and dryer. The location was fine outside of hustle and bustle. Even though it was near the airport, we didn't hear much. The pool is very nice and it is extra warm. It was the best swimming experience of our February vacation. The extra blanket for the pull out sofa was stiff and not very comfy for our teen. Unfortunately we found many little tiny ants on the kitchen counter and in the bathroom. It kind of creeped us out because we weren't sure if these ants would come home with us. The management did come out and assure us they were safe to be around. That was nice of them. They offered to move us to another property but it was too late to move. The fitness center had old rusty equipment. I love to work out but I made the mistake of giving my eliptical to another lady and then the other equipment didn't work for me.

We stayed in room 107 for six days and had a surprisingly pleasant experience. The location is very close to a bus stop (15 min. ride to downtown); however, driving downtown is very easy. Being away from Old Town Center meant peace and quiet as well as proximity to the sea wall adjacent to Smathers Beach -- very picturesque for early morning or evening walks. The resort is small and a bit older, but interior hallways and public spaces have been well maintained. Individual condos vary by owner. Our two-bedroom/two-bathroom suite was spotless, had comfortable beds and a well-stocked kitchen, and a balcony with table and 4 chairs which overlooked the pool. Although eclectically decorated, our suite was very comfortable and we felt at home in no time. It was quite roomy for two but might be a bit crowded if both bedrooms and the sleeper sofa were utilized (for example, the eating area consists of a breakfast bar with four stools instead of a table).
Parking is abundant and includes covered parking. The pool is meticulously maintained and sparkling -- lots of lounge chairs in good condition with shaded areas. There is a coin-operated laundry room on-site with efficient washers and dryers (25 minute wash time; 45 minutes of dryer time). Because of the smallness of the resort, it takes only a couple of minutes to go to the pool, laundry room or fitness room and only 5 minutes to walk to the bus stop. A small grocery store is also 5 minutes away. Reception staff were always pleasant and helpful. Our only complaint was that guests who returned to the resort after midnight on several nights would stand outside underneath our room, talking loudly enough with friends to awaken us. Perhaps a room on a higher floor would have provided a buffer for the noise.

This is my second visit to this property. The unit we recently stayed in was okay. The unit had some wear on it. Specifically the pull out bed located in the living room was worn out beyond it's years. My teenage son was unlucky enough to have to sleep on the pullout. The springs were literally pushing thorugh the matress and he could not sleep on it at all. Thus the poor guy had to sleep on the couch part which he complained about for the entire stay. Based on that the unit can only accomodate 4 not 5. The internet was only available on the balconey and indoors was sporadic at best. The floor on the unit appeard to need some cleaning. Other then that the stay was nice and we would stay there again only if we traveled there with 4 or less. Smathers Beach is close by. The only true sand beach on key west. The trips to the beach were nice as well.

I usually stay with a timeshare plan I have, but at the last minute we decided to go to Key West during the Thanksgiving holiday. Found inexpensive rate online. We stayed one night at the Sunrise resort, in unit 301, 2 bedroom/2 bath. The place was basically clean, but we did find the kitchen cabinet and one bathroom door with stains, so whomever cleaned missed some places. The place is older; older appliances and furniture. 3 TVs, one large in the living room and 2 very small TVs in the bedrooms. The balcony was large and included a table and chairs. The master bedroom has a large walk in closet. The grounds are clean and well maintained. Parking is open and available, we were able to get an open carport which was nice since it was raining when we arrived. Internet worked the entire time. We had no problems. Since I have a timeshare plan, I will stick to that since I prefer updated vacation rentals. But if you don't mind the older furniture, this place will work.

Sunrise suites is a condo type resort. It was very clean, quiet, and off the main track of downtown Key West. Beach is not too far away. It has a nice pool, and exercise room. The wireless is poor, but worked on bacony and near doors. No resturants near by, but small mart a block away.
