we loved this place. Everything was so clean and everyone was so nice. They helped us with whatever we needed---coffee, ice water, bikes, plastic cups, floor fans, they were great to us. Our bed was very comfortable and we loved our private patio. The pools are amazing. This is a terrific location. I think this will be our new place to stay in Key West. The internet was perfect so my husband was able to log in when he needed.

Room Tip: private patios are nice

The staff was warm, helpful and friendly. They brought glasses of wine on check-in (its a long, but scenic, drive from Miami) which was very welcomed. The hotel is several buildings around a common courtyard and you must carry your own luggage, no elevator. Room was large and well appointed. While the location is great - two blocks from Duval Street and walking distance to most of the attractions in Key West - we had a street facing 2nd floor room and heard a lot of truck traffic early in the morning. Pools were great as was complimentary coffee in the morning (and a 4 block walk to a great French pastry shop on Duval going south) and iced drinks in the afternoon by the pool. They don't allow kids, so it is nice and tranquil. Also had a nice dinner in the restaurant downstairs. Unless you are into the bar scene or take a boat out on the water, there isn't that much to do in Key West. Hemingway's house, Truman's house, sunset from the square, walk along Duval and the surrounding streets. There is only a small beach on the southern tip. We enjoyed our trip, but don't think we are going back to Key West.

Spent a long weekend that was truly lovely. From the welcome to the room to the pools. Having breakfast delivered to your own porch was a spectacular way to start the morning. Loved the orchids and all the landscaping - once you walked through the main area you would never know you were in the heart of Key West. Hope to return to this great getaway.

Spent a long weekend at Marquesa and it was perfect. The pools were refreshing but not cold and there was always coffee (morning) or water and tea (afternoon) available and friendly, smiling staff. Marquesa felt like an oasis - once you entered the premises, the noise from Key West just sort of faded. Our room was spacious and clean and peaceful. There was a small issue with water pressure in the shower but it wasn't a deal breaker. I hope I get to return one day.

This place is amazing - it's like stepping into a mini paradise when you come through the main hotel and into the central area where the pools are. Beautifully landscaped, tranquil and quiet, it's just perfect.
I don't think the night-time pictures do the gardens justice myself, but it would be hard to show how lovely the grounds are anyway - just go and visit the place and see for yourself!
The staff are lovely too - so polite and helpful - we weren't sure where to eat in Key West and how late anything opened, so not only did the manager advise us, he quietly went off and rang the place up for us to see when it shut, and then came out to the pool to let us know we could stay in as long as we liked, as it didn't shut until late. That's what I call true customer service.
Our room was enormous and so comfortable - it's so clever how the hotel is laid out - each room has its own little seating area outside, with table and chairs.
We treated ourselves to continental breakfast delivered to our room (something we have never tried anywhere else!) but it was fabulous, and again, the serving staff were wonderful.
We are already planning when we can go back - if you are looking for comfort, tranquillity and peace, but still close to the main road of Key West, this place has it all.

Room Tip: All the rooms look to be very nice - they don't have lifts, so rooms on the upper floors mean a climb up the staircases, just be warned!
