The Marquesa is immaculately clean, beautiful, relaxing, perfect location. Can't recommend this hotel enough. Can't wait to return. Easy check in and check out. Trying to think of a negative and have none.

The Marquesa is everything you want in a boutique hotel,
casual but elegant, GREAT staff, super room, wonderful location.
We stayed on the bottom floor with two double beds- it was
quite large and well appointed with a nice size bathroom.
The staff were always available and extremely helpful.
Parking was free plus we rented moped which we also parked on the property.
It is a short walk to Duvall St - close enough to walk in several times
a day but removed enough so there was no noise or loitering tourists.
This would be my choice for every visit to Key West

An absolute perfect place to stay. We couldn't have asked for a better location or better staff. We were treated with genuine care and respect by the entire staff. After a quick tour of the property we were given a complementary glass of wine. Truly a classy establishment.

It's been almost a year since we visited the Marquesa and we still talk about our stay there.

Key West was our 5th destination on our east coast road trip. We had booked standard room for 5 nights because of the very good reviews here on Tripadvisor.

Upon arrival the concierge realized that we would have a hard time in a standard room with 4 very big suitcases. We were offered a junior suite at a nominal additional charge and took it. THAT we did NOT regret. The room was big, airy and had a porch with seating, 3 steps of the pool.

After getting our gear into the room we were served some white wine and relaxed in the very lush and tropical pool area.

The place was kept clean and in outstanding condition at all times. The pool area is clean and there are plenty of sun beds and towels.

The location of the hotel is fantastic, 2 short blocks of Duval Street. When we had enough of the hustle and bustle we returned to this quiet oasis.

I would like to point out the great attitude and service mindedness of the entire staff, no wish to small or to big. The attention to detail is amazing, whether you need help to book a sun set sail trip or help with your laundry.

Some ppl may complain about the price of $10 for a continental breakfast. They should try to find anything more reasonable in town - and our breakfast was served on our porch in the morning :-)

If we ever go back to Key West, we will not need to think twice about where to stay.

Room Tip: If you can get a good rate, choose one of the junior suites. All rooms are quiet, but the junior sui...

First trip and hotel in Key West for honeymoon. Very beautiful property and landscaping. Stayed in two different rooms (Poolside Standard and Deluxe.) We liked the poolside more, even though the Deluxe had a bigger bed and was more spacious. Rooms were extremely clean and air conditioning was great.Turndown service every night. Bedding was comfortable. Bathroom was spacious. Two pools (one heated) and lots of places to relax around them. They provide ice water, tea, and coffee at poolside. The service was very good and helpful. They provide a glass of complimentary wine (we were offered more than one, though). The property is quiet and enjoyed our experience there (4 nights). No kids were on the property, mostly couples It's very close to Duval St, but is quiet. Only downside is that it's a little pricey, but I think it was worth it. We want to go back already!

The Beautiful Marquesa Hotel is truly a Key West Treasure: A "Five Star Boutique Hotel" it is a quiet little Key West oasis of comfort after a busy day or long night fun. It's the perfect little place to come to a relaxing night, weekend or week and it's beautiful manicured gardens abundant varieties of gorgeous flowers and exotic plants, and two pools. The staff are professional and very polite, they can not help you enough, they are informed, very helpful, quietly effective staff will insure a most enjoyable stay. The Duval street action is strategically located a short distance of one and a half blocks from near the center of Duval Street, its location is close to the many fine restaurants, many within a short walk, attached fine dining at The Marquesa Cafe, Pisces is up the street, across from Better Than Sex great Deserts, near all eateries, shops, taverns/bars Sloppy Joes, Hogs Breath, the Hemingway's Home and many other many points and historical sites. Key West has many bars, but was surprised about how good the fine dining restaurants were and great experience. Parkng is available. KEY WEST is a great party town. The Marquesa Cafe has a great cocktail the staff and Blondell formulated the Key Lime Martini can't miss this one, the Best. The waliking aound town will wear off calories. You can rent scooters, or golf carts. Wonderful Experience.

Relaxing, quiet and located in the center of all the action on Key West, we will go back next year.
Incredible service, large plush rooms and a first class dining location on the property make this a special boutique hotel experience on this quirky and fun island. The landscaping and pool areas are unrivaled in the area of town, and you feel as tough you are a thousand miles from the crowds. Marquesa has a continental feel, and is one of the most beautiful small hotels you might ever see!

Room Tip: All of them are great with furnished balconies.
