This was a nice historical stop, it was neat to see a completed fort, we had seen a couple in Maine that were never finished.

The best beach we saw in Key West while there this past week! After reading reviews I made sure we got water shoes before going and boy I'm glad we did. The beach and shallow areas of the water is very rocky and the water shoes there are about 20 bucks! The water is beautiful , colors like the carribean! We rented snorkels for 10 bucks a piece and a def must do! We saw so many fish snorkeling by the rocks , more than we saw on our snorkel tour!!

Would recommend bring water shoes. We had a great time spending the afternoon swimming and walking around the park and fort. Great place to visit we will be back.

By far, the best beach for fishing, playing and watching the sunset away from the crowds at Mallory Square. I loved doing the self tour of the fort and taking in the ambience of this historical ruin.

Not our favorite beach (we liked Smathers) but they rent snorkel gear, have nice restrooms, and good food. Watch our for the seagulls, they stole my hotdog right out of my hand!! All in all a great way to spend a day or (for us) a few hours in the rain.
