This is where they hold some of their yoga sessions...right on the beach with trees as well. It was so peaceful to look out onto the water and see sailboats passing by. Pretty place

Interesting fort located within a state park and next to a nice beach for picnicking and water activities. Great views and located close to Mallory Square.

This park has a decent-sized beach (one of the only in Key West), and is nice place to watch the cruise ships come and go. You can rent chairs & umbrellas, and buy snacks (not cheap--but $ goes to support the park).

The park where the fort is located is beautiful. Lots of picnic areas, and you can ride a bike on several of the paths. The snorkeling is supposed to be great, but it was a little cold in Jan. so we skpped it. The fort is just ok - if you want a guided tour it starts at noon daily, and is the only one of the day. We did self-guided. It was somewhat interesting, but if you want to see a spectacular fort then do the day trip out to the Dry Tortugas from Key West. Much more impressive and there are beautiful fans, fish, and conchs underwater to see if you snorkel. Snorkel gear provided on the boat, as well as lunch.

I believe this is the southernmost state park in FL and definitely worth spending an afternoon.
The fort is pretty cool, there are little trails to explore and nice beach for a picnic.
A great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of Duval street.
