Owner description: Welcome to Mallory Square where the fun starts and the sun sets. Everything Key West is famous for comes together in this one special place set on historic waterfront. Mallory Square is home to shops, restaurants, and many of the islands most popular attractions. Come for the day and stay into the night. There's always something happening in Mallory Square.

Mallory Square is a must on your Key West vacation. Celebrate the sunset every night with all types of street performers but do not mIss the cat man!!!!! My husband and I saw him the 1st night we were there and never missed another performance. These cats are great. It' s clear that the cat man loves his cats and his cats love him. Great show while watching the beautiful sunset.

Mallory Square was a great place to watch the sunset and the (human) wildlife. This area was really the only place we saw crafts actually made in the area. Most souveniers in Key West were made in the Phillipines or China. Mallory Square had booths where glass blowers, painters and others show off their talents and their wares. At sunset, even more artists show up w/ their handmade crafts. There were also performers such as a one man band.

A lot of fun here and very interesting as well as crowded. Good place to see the sun set but I would highly suggest taking a sunset cruise if you do not mind paying the money to do it.

This was quite interesting, with lots of variety in entertainment. We went 2 nights - One of the nights we watched 2 young gents do a variety of acrobat type show. They were quite entertaining along with comedy.

Of course, the best of Mallory Square is the Sunset. You can't imagine the beauty of this, it is just awesome. One night was cloudy but my pictures are even better than the clear night. One suggestion - go towards the East side (it is a better view).

This place was REALLY crowded. Probably something to do with the fact it was Easter when we were there. The entire length of Mallory Square was lined with street performers. The first one we stopped at was a juggler who did a tight rope walk. He was pretty good, but the first 10 minutes was all just to get more people to come to him (so he could make more $).

The 2nd performer we caught at just the end. He had a woman on a bicycle bent over to the bicycle seat tip was just barely touching her backside. Then a 2nd audience member was holding a hula hoop that the performer was to jump through. I didn't think he was really going to do it, but he did as you can see from my photos.

If you plan on watching all the performers (we only watched 2), be prepared to blow a lot of cash. These guys want $10 and $20s, not $1s. They didn't respond well to people that didn't tip. So once the sun went down we went back to Duval to get some drinks.
