“Excellent hotel for couples”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 21, 2012

It's expensive resort but offers great value for money. Great design of every room and if you select bay view room you will have almost private beach with beautiful sand and palms. Pools are excellent inside 'palm forrest' with very warm water. Very big cons is they close all pools at 10pm what is very annoing. Those pools should be definitely open till midnight.

Regarding cons - beds are really soft, but it's very subjective opinion. Beds are just too soft for us with too big pillows. If you are princess you will like it. We are definetly prefer harder mattresses and smaller pillows.

To sum up - it's excellent place too stay on Key West!

Great well designed, fairly new resort. Built with old world charm and modern amenities. Staff excellent at recommending memorable activities. Located a short drive from airport and removed from the hustle and bustle of Duvall street, but close to reach all destinations in a couple minutes by bicycle. If you dream of sleeping with the windows open and wake to see beautiful landscaped gardens and the ocean, this is the resort for you. No need to rent a car, just take bikes or public transportation - and your camera. You might also want to bring your camera to eat and drink pool-side to capture pictures of an iguana strolling by or unusual sculptures.

We had a wonderful time at this resort. It was clean, comfortable and well designed with 4 pools. The staff was very courteous and helpful in answering our questions. Housekeeping did a great job of keeping our room clean and well stocked with clean towels. We did not eat at the cafe/bar near the largest pool, but other people told us it was a good place for breakfast or lunch. We found a place (Goldman's Bagels and Deli) across the street near CVS that had a great breakfast special so we ate there each morning. They have onsite watersports available to guests for additional fees, which depend upon what you are renting and for how long. Our only disappointments were that the facility did not have a laundry area for guests nor did they have a shuttle to the main tourist area. Other hotels/resorts in the area had the free shuttle advertised, which would have cut down on taxi fares or long walks (3 miles one way to the tourist area). Overall, we were very satisfied with this facility and would highly recommend it.

Room Tip: Lower level rooms can hear much of the noise from the people staying in the upper level rooms. We c...

This was a great place to stay. Very beautifully decorated and great customer service. Only thing that was a disadvantage is there was not much parking in the actually hotel parking lot but the walk from the Walgreen's lot was not bad at all. Would definitely go back again.

Room Tip: Ask for a waterfront room, definitely worth it.

First, let me say I have NO idea how almost 100 people rated this as poor or terrible - not sure what they were looking for, but this place was amazing. I stayed here for the weekend, and though I had a lot of plans for my stay in Key West, I didn't even end up leaving the property because it was such a beautiful place.

The rooms: I stayed in a ground level one bedroom, which had its own little beach area and lounge chair, as well as a little patio with a couple of chairs. The room is decorated in typical beach cottage style - nice and big, comfortable bed, pretty bathroom. Absolutely no complaints - loved being able to go outside in the morning and read on my little section of beach.

Grounds - they were beautifully maintained. Everything is attached with little "lanes"; I got there at about 10 at night, and it was like a little sanctuary. As people have said - it's next to a Walgreens, but you would never know because of the beautiful design. Large, lush plants everywhere really create an oasis vibe. There are 4 pools to choose from - each is fairly small, with the exception of the main one, and they are all separated by little paths.

Food: They don't serve dinner, which is fine given that Key West has so many restaurants that you should go out and try. The food served during the day is good - really quick, decent quality. Good poolside food!

I'm not sure what else to add - if you're looking for more of a party vibe, don't come here. This is a great place to soak up the sun and relax. Downtown is just a short cab ride away, and Key West is so small that it doesn't take any time at all to get anywhere. I would go back in a heartbeat!

My wife and I stayed in a garden, one bedroom suite. The quality of the suite was very good. The room was comfortable and well appointed and we had a reasonably priced breakfast next to the pool. Staff were helpful - there wasn't a bottle opener but one was sent in 5 mins. There was a coffee maker in the room but no kettle - guys, please get a kettle for making tea! I also agree with a previous comment that there should be a shuttle bus, parking is difficult in Key West and a shuttle bus would be helpful, although taxis are plentiful along Duval St.

I would consider staying again, but I would also look into more centrally located hotels.

One of the nicest places I have ever stayed in. Very comfortable and well appointed suite. Bed was amazingly comfortable with two balconies, one overlooking the water and the other the swimming pools and garden area. Extremely clean, wonderful views, and so comfortable. Staff are charming and helpful. Can't wait to go back!

Room Tip: 24B has fantastic views
