We had 2 couples in a three bedroom cottage, we wanted a full kitchen. The place was great. Its quiet and laid back very, very clean. Also you can rent Jet Ski's right at the resort they offer a $99.00 per jet ski tour around the entire island a must!!!! It is a 10 minute drive to duval street no problems parking once down there $10 for the whole day. If you are going to be partying the cab ride runs around $15 each way. We would stay here again in a heart beat!

We just returned from a week in Key West! The resort is off the main road on the island and is about 2 miles from the downtown where all the restaurants and attractions are. If you call the hotel they'll tell you it's a leisurely walk into town and you'll pass by quaint shops along the way. Not true, Home Depot and the grocery are not quaint shops. We ended up renting a car to get around as we were traveling with a baby. Parking was not a problem downtown, it was a problem at the resort. Get back after 8 and you'll be parking at the Walgreens next door.

The hotel itself was nice, beautifully landscaped and the rooms were nice. The housekeeping could have been kicked up a notch. Our floors were never cleaned during our stay, even after we requested it. If I'm staying at a four star resort I would expect to get full service cleaning each day, we were told by front desk you only get full service on the day you arrive. The other days it seemed they only made the beds. Nothing was straightened, the trash was left and the toilet paper/paper towels not refilled.

Also disappointing was the lack of water view. From the website and from conversations with the hotel staff I expected to be staying on the beach. There was a small man made beach area that lead to a fence. There was water beyond that but it was not like walking onto the beach and into the water. You could not get in the ocean. There was a pier that had great views of the sunset but that's about it.

I realize this isn't a glowing review, I honestly expected more from the resort. If we were to go to Key West again we'd stay closer to town. As for a place to rest my head it was fine, beds were comfortable and we still enjoyed our trip. I would definitely come back to Key West!

We booked a garden room cottage, it was a 3 bedroom self catering cottage right by the pool, there are 4 pools and 2 bars/cafe's to choose from. All the staff are friendly and the whole resort is spotless clean. There is a shopping center opposite the resort which we used to get food for ye apartment so we didn't have to eat out all the time.
We did go to the nearby beaches but they are man-made and not that exciting, they are quite a trek too, the nearest beach is a good 2 mile walk which is hard in the heat
Luckily the resot had everything we need so we were happy by te pool and most days we had it to ourselves.
The sunset boat trips were good too, dolphin watching was brilliant fun.
Taxis are reasonable and probably the cheapest way to get down to Duval street where all the main shops and bars are.

The resort was slow in check-in and had completely inadequate parking. It was mostly clean, excepting the hair in the shower. Reasonable compared to Key West rates for 3 bedrooms, but ridiculous in terms of water view (next to none), inconvenient to walk through like a rabbit warren to get to the room. All pools close at sunset except one which is only open till 10. Very, very closde quarters, all rooms tight and small. It was only fair.

I recently stayed at Parrot Key in Key West and it was great! This resort has 3 pools and lush grounds everywhere. Mindi at the bar was very nice and made our pool experience fun. I would like to say the management at this hotel was very impressive to me. I had a concern with my debit cara and the front office supervisor assured me that her collogue will follow up with me the next day. I didn’t have to call the hotel, Sean the manager called me and took care of it all. We will be back!

We stayed at the sister property in Marathon last year with our family and thought we'd try this one out for our honeymoon in Key West.

It was perfect! Not only did we get a generous upgrade for our whole stay, but the activities planner had been such a great help leading up to this that all we had to do was check in with the front desk for where to go and the rest was already taken care of.

We also rented bikes and I highly recommend this form of transportation to get to see all the beautiful houses behind and around Duval Street. That said, my husband's bike was stolen from teh property, despite being chained to mine on the bike rack, but the bike company was quick to come out and give us a replacement.

We also loved our jet ski trip with Barefoot Billies (though the Marriot where we had to pick them up was a bit out of the way- as in away from downtown Key West and closer to the causeway so would suggest asking which Billie's location you're going to ahead of time and change to a closer or more central location if needed) but worth it nonetheless.

The day trip to the Dry Tortugas was alright- but everyone on board got seasick with about 2% not. I'm told this is not the norm, but if we did it again, we'd have splurged for the sea plane I think as 2 hrs each way on choppy water was not the most ideal way to spend a precious honeymoon day. The snorkeling was great though.

All in all, it was a great stay at a great location!

The bartender in the Tikki Bar also gave us a great breakfast recommendation for Pepe's which was fantastic and will surely be a stop on our next visit- as will Parrot Key!!
