Food is decent, price is what you would expect in the Keys. Bar service outside is fantastic (we love DJ!), good local bands throughout the week. The rave is about the glass bottom bar, which is so-so, but overall a nice enough place.

For starters you can eat indoors or outside. Inside dining is more akin to a traditional restaurant and not like some of the places in the Keys with plastic chairs and tables. However eating outside and/or by the bar is much more casual with a very pleasant atmosphere. You can even bring your dog to sit beside the table as you eat. My choice was to eat outside, which is what my review is based on.

Jimmy Buffet tunes were playing in the background and at a good volume so as not to drown out conversation. There are a multitude of TV's over and around the bar in case you are a sports junky. The glass bottom bar is unique in that you can see under the dock through glass inserted squares. This is even true at night with underwater lighting. Our server was prompt, courteous and gave informed recommendations. The crab soup was a wonderful appetizer along with a mug of beer with many to choose from on tap. Fortunately they had Hogfish as one of their fresh specials, so several of us chose it, both pan seared and blackened. To me the blackened was a little spicy, but that is probably why people will order fish in that style of cooking. Still it was moist and tasty. I ordered it pan seared because I prefer the taste of the fish, rather than spices or fancy toppings. The portions were of a decent size, and the rice and fresh vegetables were a nice compliment. I must say the chef cooked mine just right to the point of me putting it in my top 3 of eating hogfish anywhere. The other entree was fried Mahi Mahi which was good.

Several other type of adult beverages were ordered, and everyone was happy with the exception of an ordered Kamikaze, which came as a shooter rather than a drink. The taste of it was off as well, even for a shooter. The next drink was recommended by the waitress and was not only correct, but tasty. We were informed it was part of happy hour, so several made their way to the table before the night was through.

The waitress was attentive throughout and made sure we did not want for anything. After dinner the table split a brownie sundae which disappeared quickly. Prices are not cheap, but neither are they over the top when compared to other dining in the Keys. Our overall experience was very good with the hogfish preparation bumping up the rating to excellent. We were left with a desire to return, which is the best type of hope a restaurant or bar can hope for.

Loved the bar on the water.
Enjoyed the sportsbar feel on game day. Good "better than pub fare" food. Drinks were cold and people were friendly.

We go here every time we are in the keys. Usually for dinner. It is always great. The seafood here will be difficult to beat. Some nights get real busy so plan ahead.
