“Completely Unexpected”
Reviewed March 5, 2013

I passed this place early in the day and noticed that it looked full so I recommended it to my husband. It was the best decision we have made in the keys! The portions were excellent and the price was lower than most places here. The food was outstanding! It was delivered quick and obvious that everything was made in house and fresh. You must stop here!!

“Nice restaurant”
Reviewed March 5, 2013 via mobile

Ballyhoos is a good restaurant. They have changed their menu a couple of months ago and it's nice to see new items and the kitchen can always make your favorite dishes that aren't on the new menu. The restaurant is small but cute. The waiter and waitresses all seem to work as a team and don't mind sharing the free wifi password!! I would recommend this restaurant.

“Best Fish We've Ever Had!!!”
Reviewed February 24, 2013

Our waitress Chastity was very knowledgeable and made 2 great recommendations. We had our first conch...Conch Maniere, cooked with lemon and butter and it melted in our mouths. Secondly we had Yellowtail Snapper cooked in butter, wine and almonds....it tasted like a buttery pancake. My husband doesn't like fish and he loved it. This little charming restaurant is humble and extraordinary. They have an outdoor eating area and a lot of local beers to choose from.

“Wow were we surprised!”
Reviewed February 21, 2013 via mobile

So we kept going back and forth on whether or not to eat here. It's location wasn't that good and the reviews were mixed. Let me tell you if you love heaping portions of crab, stop here!

We started with BBQ shrimp. Must have. This was the best shrimp dish we had while on vacation.

I had the snow crab she had the king. I got about 3 pounds for what they said was one. Her helping of king was twice what we would get in our hometown.

Donnelle was an awesome server and we left very full and very happy. We tried all the fine dining places and liked the food here the best.

“Decisions, Decisions, Decisions”
Reviewed February 12, 2013

For the 4 days that we traveled in the Keys we always had Key Lime Pie. Ballyhoo's was the very best. Made fresh every day, we bought them to snack on.
Mind all the other food was excellent, their conch dish was wonderful. Everything was great. Since we were a group of 7 we all would order and share our dishes-just excellent. Staff was great too.
