“Heaven on Earth!”
Reviewed October 10, 2013

Coconut Palm Inn is simply perfect. I go there every chance I get, and being an attorney from out of the area having a case in Plantation Key, that is very often. Every stay is better than the last, every sunset is more majestic than the one before. There is nothing I would change about this Inn. Kathryn has somehow managed to make time stand still as soon as you walk in the gate of this lovely property. Perfect accommodations, simply put, everything is perfect. Kayaks, sunrises, sunsets, manatee, dolphin, grills for cook-outs, the most comfortable beds on the planet. The only things missing from Coconut Palm Inn are anxiety and stress!

Room Tip: Screened patio rooms: You don't even have to fall out of bed to see the water!

Just extraordinarily mellow place - loved the hammocks, being able to walk out to the pier to enjoy the water, fish leaping by, sunsets, the wonderful chairs, refreshingly deep pool... the room is also nice.

Room Tip: No room service or fitness centre! All rooms seem to be well positioned with excellent views.

The Coconut Palm Inn is truly a hidden gem in the keys. It is tucked away on a quiet cove in a residential section of Key Largo/Tavernier. The grounds are meticulously maintained. The views are incredible. We had a two-bedroom unit right by the pool. We enjoyed our breakfast each morning on our private patio. The rooms were very fresh and clean and tastefully decorated. The beds were very comfortable and the linens were very nice. We enjoyed the kayaks and paddle-boards that were included with the stay. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We would definitely stay here again and will recommend it to our friends/family.

A wonderful setting with it's own beach. Access to boats, etc. The rooms facing the beach which represents the majority of the rooms are a little dated but clean and pleasant to stay in. We spent two nights one on the way to Key West and one on the way back. It is a perfect place (distant wise) from places like Naples, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, etc. on the way to or from Key West. It in itself is worth a visit to see one of the most beautiful sunsets we have ever seen. The staff (Z, Kathy, Deedee?, and the gentleman (probably the proprietor) couldn't be more accommodating, helpful, or pleasant. Give yourself a treat and check out the Tavernier and Key Largo area. A very limited breakfast of coffee, orange juice, tea, granola bars, apples, and both delicous banana and cranberry bread is served daily. They have hammocks, chairs, huts with straw roofs and a pool that is from 5 foot to 7 foot deep. Everything is very well
maintained.

Room Tip: Don't pass it up , stay here if in the area.

Located between Key Largo and Islamorada, we stayed here for a long weekend and could not have asked for better accommodations, the room and staff were great! A lot of places in the keys are rather "worn out," but this was one is very "fresh," and definitely one of the very nicest we have ever stayed at. We took our 18.5' boat, there is a small ramp right next to the property and it was very easy to put in. They also have plenty of dock space, so it was nice to walk from our room to the boat with no hassle. If you have a larger boat, you would want to dock here, but put in elsewhere. Snappers is 3 miles north, good option for dinner and Sunday brunch, and hanging out for the music.

Room Tip: We were in Room 1, so our screened patio was on the back side instead of facing the bay, affording m...

The Coconut Palm Inn is a great place to relax and enjoy the serenity of the keys. You can get kayaks for free and paddle around. The breakfast buffet is laid out practically on the beach. It's not super fresh but fine (as a Swiss my standards are somewhat high when it comes to breakfast). We arrived late, so we there wasn't any staff left on the hotel area. The room key way attached to the reception door, and we had to walk around the area for a while before wo could find our room.

We decided to extend a long weekend trip to Kew West by stopping at the Coconut Palm Inn on a our way home Sunday night. We had looked at the pictures and read the reviews but we were still surprised at how wonderfully this place was. Peaceful, clean, quiet, and relaxing best describe our experience. We took a kayak out for a sunset paddle around the bay. Spent some time napping in one of the many hammocks and floating in the pool. Our stay was definitely the highlight of our trip to the Florida Keys. I will definitely be back.

Room Tip: All of the rooms have a wonderful view, but they do have different kitchen capabilities and sleeping...
