We booked this through Travelocity as one of their "secret" hotels. Paid $193+taxes for one night. Debbie was pleasant at check in and attentive to any needs we had. Rooms and beds were very comfortable. We had a Queen water view. I was told it was an upgrade from what we booked moments earlier
on Travelocity. The room was bright and clean. Air conditioning and refrigerator worked great. Bathroom had a nice large shower, no tub. We enjoyed a couple of drinks on the balcony before dinner. The restaurant next door was very good. The breakfast at the hotel was perfect: fresh fruits, yogurt parfaits, breads, tomato/mozzarella salad, oatmeal, juice, coffee and a nice selection of teas. We wish they had a family package deal (3 or 4 night stays) so we can bring the kids next time.

My husband and I were really disappointed with our stay here. I think the room was very overpriced. For what we paid I expected the room to be much nicer. It was ok, but nothing special. This was supposed to be a relaxing vacation but our room was right next to the lobby. Every morning we woke up at 7 to the sound of doors slamming while people were going in and out of the lobby for breakfast. Someone should have mentioned this at time of booking because we did not plan on getting up this early every day. I also thought the mattress and pillows were poor quality. I'm not sure why this place has gotten such good reviews, we were not impressed at all and would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

As soon as we arrived at this hotel, the service was great and continued throughout our stay. We interacted with 3 different people that helped us with our check-in and check-out, and all were so kind. We could tell this was something that the owners must have instilled in their employees. The continental breakfast was the best we had on our week stay throughout the Keys. And the views from the rooms and breakfast were fantastic. It helped that the hotel is right next to Snappers restaurant, which we spent a ton of time at. It is a fantastic place. We highly recommend this place. Note the room is a bit small, but we didn't come to the Keys to stay in the room.

We loved our stay at Dove Creek Lodge!

This was the perfect spot for our Keys family vacation. Lovely breakfast served buffet style with an option to sit on the terrace and take in the view. Spacious, clean and beautifully furnished interiors - we had a suite with a great layout - and the most comfortable (happy it was firm!) hotel bed ever. Good towels in the bathroom and additional towels available for the pool. Plenty of outlets, wifi and an in-room safe large enough for a 15" laptop and other personal items kept us connected to the world when needed and provided peace of mind when out and about.

Kayaks on the property made it easy to explore the waters nearby and the pool area was inviting and a great place to relax.

We booked Captain Mike for a memorable day of fishing, and took our catch to Snappers next door where they cooked it up for us.

Hotel staff was personable and responsive from the moment we checked in to the time we left.

We stayed for almost week and hope to return again soon!

PS: I read an earlier review that referred to the driveway as being "gravel" - it is definitely not gravel but rather very nice river rocks, which I personally thought looked lovely, intentional and landscaped.

Room Tip: If you prefer an open terrace rather than a Florida Room, ask for a room near the office.
