Owner description: The Caribbean Club, a Key Largo landmark, is the place to find stiff drinks, breathtaking sunsets, rich history, live music and even livelier folks. Locally owned and operated since 1963, the Caribbean Club is one of the last relics of Old Key Largo. Both locals and tourists are at home in this watering hole filled with memorabilia from the Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall classic Key Largo that was filmed at this location. It boasts live music Thursday through Sunday nights, daily happy hours and a dog-friendly atmosphere. Come by car, boat or bike and enjoy stiff drinks, live music, and beautiful sunsets.

The drinks are good. The company is fun. The atmosphere is fantastic. The experience and reputaion are worth the visit. Sunset is superb, the outside area is perfect for local fun.

Went here on one night last month because I was in Key largo and had never been to the Caribbean Club. One review stated that you should stop here, make a toast to Bogey and go.
I think that about sums it up. I have to disagree with a review that said if you don't like this place,
you don't get it. I get it, its an old school dive with a lot of history that you don't find every where.

But here is the difference, if you have a place like whisky a go-go on the sunset strip, kind of the same thing. You don't let it go to the point where it is almost un inhabitable. The Caribbean Club
is right on the verge of being ready for demolition. It's a shame, it could be so much more.

And here is the real kicker. NO GOOD RUM !!! a bottle of Captain shouldn't round out your rum selection.

When you think a beach vacation and a little old-fashioned shack... filled with locals and opening out onto a beach.. you're really envisioning the Caribbean Club. It's small.. no airs.. nothing fancy.. just a nice relaxing chilled out place where the locals hang out at night.

When you're in Key Largo, DEFINITELY visit... just to say you did.. :)

Mind it, we got there at 8 a.m.- they open at 7 a.m. We checked out some of he decor dedicated to Bogart Nd he making of the movie Key Largo, much of it filmed here. It does a have great view of he water, and it doesn't lack character.

I ordered a Mimosa and was given a heap, small bottle of champagne with a twist off bottle and a shot of orange juice. A couple of locals came in and drank PBR.

I hear hat the weekend music and crowd is fun and entertaining. But we needed to get on the road to Key West.

the people were very friendly but It's totally a locals bar where you can go and get really hammered as everyone in the palce seemed to be . A little too smokey for me but where I'm from there is no smoking allowed in bars and as a non smoker it was breath taking ; not in a good way. Drinks were good though.
