With so many casual (though tasty) options in Key Largo, Treetops is a great, unpretentious though slightly more upscale alternative. It has a decent wine list and a well executed menu of standard favourites (steak, half chicken, excellent blackened Mahi Mahi). Even the crouton served on the salad is well-made.
The service is very friendly and accomidating, and the view of the ocean, especially at sunset, is spectacular.
Pricing is not unexpected for a hotel, but anywhere else it would be considered a tad steep.
