Reviewed April 3, 2013

Wife and I stayed for two nights. Clean comfortable and spectacular views. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. Make sure to take the sunset cruise with KC and if you are up for a little paddling try the kayak tour with him too.

This a small hotel, only six apartments, in a leafy private location in Key Largo.
Our upstairs apartment had a wonderful view, comfortable bed and super clean.
OK the TV was on the small and old side but such a nice relaxing spot who needs it?
The beach is sunny and there is plenty of space to spread out for privacy.
The snorkelling trip was top class, as small group and the best skipper!
I'm sure there are plenty of guests who return to this hotel, the owners and staff
are very approachable and non-intrusive

Room Tip: There is no swimming pool or fitness centre, accidentally ticked them by mistake and Can't seem...

This is located on a beautiful spot on the bay side of Key Largo with lovely grounds. It was conveniently located and nicely tucked away. Our room was a suite and was very clean when we arrived. The downsides were that there was only one very dim light in the living room and they said they couldn't provide additional light. Also, housekeeping only cleaned the bathroom and made the bed. The floors got dirtier by the day.

Words aren't enough to express our wonderful 2 nights,26/27 February, at this lovely boutique hotel.Dominic,owner/manager,is an exceptional host. The suite was exemplary of great design and with creature comfort galore. The exterior lighting is wonderful at night with interesting subtleties created through up-lighting,back-lighting.For a beautiful oasis, seek out this place.Kudos!!!

There are good restaurants close by:The Conch House,Jimmy Johnson's Big Chill,Buzzard's Roost.

Activities abound and can be arranged through the office.

Flew into Miami and drove down to the Azul. The owner worked at a major chain in the carribean I beleive, and had a real understanding of making our stay comfortable. Great sea kayaking right off the dock. Seafood market close by and great wine were close by and a barbecue to use made for some incredible sunsets. Day drive to key west were great, although its changed quite a bit from living there one winter about twenty years ago. A wonderful and hospitable stay

Room Tip: Really just a great bed and breakfast

We had a two night stay at the Azul del Mar and we found the experience to be disappointing overall. It's a nice setting, the property is well maintained and the owner is a very nice fellow. However, for the price we paid, it was a lousy value. The price was five star (we planned the trip on short notice and there wasn't a lot of availability in the area) but there were no amenities. The room was large but spartan and the television was circa 1985 and at a difficult angle for viewing. The bathroom was tiny and the sink was almost unusable. We enjoyed a couple of nice sunsets on the dock, but that's available at many hotels in the area. The hotel was worth significantly less than what we paid. If you can get it on priceline or at another discounted rate, then it is worth it. As I was writing this, I read another review where the traveler said they paid $199 per night and that price seems about right.

Our group of 4 just returned from a quick visit to the keys. Both our rooms were very clean, comfortable and equipped with everything we required for a couple of relaxing days. We really enjoyed just sitting under the multiple palapas sipping wine and staring away at the sea. We took the sunset cruise and although the clouds didn't co-operate we really enjoyed the bird sanctuary and the long winding trip back through the park. KC was kind enough to recommend Buzzards Roost for dinner after our ride and it was spot on for fresh seafood and a wonderful laid back ambiance. Dominic was very helpful with info when checking in. We hope to return one day.
