It doesn't get easier than this! Our room was a very clean with a separate bedroom and kitchen that overlooked the ocean and the dive boat.
The staff for the resort and the boat were great! We especially appreciated Captain Mike, Nick and Travis (aka Tock, aka Manatee). We really enjoyed diving with you guys!

You get a better deal if you just walk in from the street then call in advance. Unless you are sleeping on one of the twin beds, beds are pretty worn and hard. This trip we stayed at 6 hotels and this was the worse bed we had.

First and foremost the rooms were clean, which was the priority. We stopped at the Info. center, which directed us to this resort because "they had unsold rooms that were being discounted"-about 150 a night total. Not fancy, not elegant but adequately sized, clean and charming. The grounds are well kept and pretty in the standard keys fashion, the staff pleasant and knowledgeable of the area. Parking for larger cars is tight, as is typical in small resorts in the area. Loved the pool and charcoal barbecue grills. Lovely, casual atmosphere and awesome sunset views from the small beach.

This is a resort for divers who will pay this price because of the diving but if you are not a diver, the cost is expensive. We had been driving for several hours and stopped at the Chamber of Commerce as I felt they would have the best info on motels. She told us this was the least expensive place to stay in Key Largo(she mentioned 2 others which were higher) and since I didn't have a computer handy to check around, I believed the lady at the desk. I called this hotel and they told me they only had 3 rooms left so if we wanted one we need to book now, which we did. Later after I got out my computer I found several motels with availability and much, much cheaper. The resort should check into what the Chamber is saying so it doesn't look like the chamber is deliberately steering tourist to this resort and the other 2 resorts they mentioned. The resort has very beautiful surroundings, staff is nice, they got us in our room at 2 instead of 4. Small older TV in room, coffee maker, toaster, frig & mic. Only amenities face soap, shampoo & conditioner. So unless you are a diver looking for a beautiful place to stay to dive, check out other places as this one cost us almost $180 for one night. Again, don't believe what you are being told at the Key Largo Chamber they only direct you to the most expensive hotels.

We only stayed one night but liked Amoray Dive Resort very much. I wanted to see the dive boats leave in the morning but overslept. They boats looked very good though the night before. Room was very good. Bed was comfortable. Staff was very friendly. This reminded us of what the Keys must have been like when it was first discovered. We will try to stay longer next time and learn something about snorkeling and scuba diving.

The resort met most of our expectations. Even though the rooms were very simple and not fancy, the grounds were well kept and staff helpful and friendly. The biggest disappointment was the expectation of significant tipping for basic housekeeping. Although I've run into it on international trips, this is not something I expected or planned for from U.S. based resorts particularly considering the high nightly cost of very basic rooms. We rejected daily room housekeeping service to avoid disappointing the maids and got along OK but it still left a bad taste that considering the cost of the rooms, the management does not include a fair and complete wage for the housekeeping staff.

We are glad to hear we were able to meet most of your expectations. It is our goal to make sure you are completely satisfied during your stay with us. We provide a house keeping tip envelope for guest's convenience should they like to leave a tip for great service. We certainly do not require a tip be left should the guest not feel it necessary. We hope next time you visit you take advantage of our house keeping services and not feel pressured to leave a tip.

My daughter and I stayed and did 2 days of diving with Amoray last week. The accommodations weren't fancy but very clean and comfortable. Everybody there made you feel like family. The captain and dive guides were awesome!! We will be back - that's a promise and not a threat :-)

We are so glad to hear that you and your daughter enjoyed your stay with here with the Amoray family. We look forward to your next stay with us, maybe next time you both would enjoy a night dive or a swim with the dolphins!
