My husand and I stayed at the Kona Kai for 3 nights in early November. It was wonderful! The location is fabulous. Although it is along the main road, once you walk onto the property, you feel totally secluded. We stayed in the Key Lime Suite. The room was clean and spacious with a kitchen, living room, bedroom and bath. Although we didn't make use of the kitchen, it appeared to be well equipped. The bedding was very comfortable, and we appreciated the extra touches -- book lights by the bed, beach towels for excursions, books to read, complementary soap, shampoo, conditioner, etc.

Denise at the Front Desk was most helpful! At check-in, she gave us many suggestions for dining and recreation options. She also gladly made the arrangements for our enviro-cruise (which conveniently picked up us at the Kona Kai's floating dock) and our mangrove snorkeling adventure. Tracey was also helpful in making dinner reservations for us!

The gardens on the property are amazing! We took the guided tour with Rick who was so knowledgeable and very well spoken. We would highly recommend this hour long tour if you stay at the resort.

The beach area is amazing....beautiful views with hammocks, chairs, and chaises to relax in. Kayaks are provided if you want to do some exploring on your own. The pool was clean, and cold bottled water was available there.

Everything was GREAT! I would recommend this place to anyone, and we would definitely go back.
Thank you, Kona Kai :)

Room Tip: The Key Lime Suite was near Reception and the tennis courts. Although there wasn't much tennis activity while we were there, it "could" be a noisy location. Next time we visit, I'd like to try one of the two rooms facing the bay.

The cottage we had at Kona Kai was a very quaint & charming place. Beautiful
view of the water and so peaceful. Perfect place to get away from the hustle & bustle. Only problem no dishwasher, spoiled you know.

Just returned from Kona Kai - we had such a fab time! The team there are a lovely bunch - so helpful and professional - really friendly and welcoming. Top notch usa standards without being too posh or stuffy. We could not have had a more chilled holiday - felt like home from home!
Thank you so much!!!

My husband and I just got back from another wonderful week at the Kona Kai. We've stayed there regularly over the past 10-plus years and every time is better than the time before. The cottages have recently been completely redecorated and are really gorgeous. The colors, the furniture, the fabrics - everything is beautiful, classy, and restful. The staff is terrific and have great suggestions for new restaurants to try and new fun things to do. The botanic gardens are a unique treat and a blissful oasis after a busy day of diving, stand up paddleboarding, and eating key lime pie! Truly, there is just no reason to go anywhere else!

Room Tip: They're all beautiful and each has its own special charm. The staff can help you decide, based on what you're looking for.

We had a great time at the Kona Kai Resort in Key Largo Oct.11-18th! The staff is awesome- so friendly and informative!! They keep the resort in perfect condition-always cleaning up and making everything beautiful! The sunsets are the best there is! Every night we would sit on the pier and watch the sun melt into the bay. It was spectacular every time !! Our room was perfect!! It was steps to the bay and very spacious and well decorated!! There is not a single negative thing about the Kona Kai, honestly!! Thanks Tracey, Denise, and the rest of the hard working staff!! This is how all hotels should do business!! We will miss the friendly little squirrels that we hand fed:) Tracy and Ryan from Columbus, Ohio

Room Tip: We had a suite but ll the rooms are nice and steps from a private beach
