Loved the beach and Marine Science presentation

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Apr 5, 2016
I had a wonderful stay at the hotel. It was clean and the staff was so friendly. I loved having the Emocean Sports right next door/on the property. It was convenient and the staff there made our trips exciting and fun. They were knowledgable and made us feel safe even when they were making jokes! I particularly enjoyed the Marine Science presentation on the beach on Saturday morning. There were cool critters and the biologist, Julie, was also very knowledgeable and seemed to really love what she did!

We had 2 rooms booked and stayed for 5 nights . When we arrived we had to wait until after 5.30pm. For one of the rooms.....The other room felt dirty when we got in so we complained and to be fair had the car parking refunded for the trip and it was cleaned better the best day.....
The accommodation was probably the best in Key Largo. Towels by the pool were very restricted and a few days there weren't any until after 10am!!
Staff were great especially Kim and Mario at Breezers

Our family of 4, myself, my wife and our 2 teens just returned from a great stay at the resort. The staff is always upbeat, smiling and very helpful, from the managers, John and Sam to every employee that we came in contact with. We arrived, check in was smooth and quick and we were offered a glass of champagne. Lobby is newly updated and trendy, looks good. The view from our bayview room was amazing. After pool/beach time, we all hung out on the balcony. On site restaurants are plentiful. Poolside tiki bar that makes great Pina Coladas/Agave lemondade or alcohol free versions for the kids. Breezer's has a great happy hour from 4-7 with a fun singer Wed-Sat from 6-10p. Gus' Grill offers a bayfront seafood experience with non seafood options as well. Ate there on the patio for dinner and breakfast, both were excellent. On site water rentals, kayaks, paddle boats, jetskis, paddle boards and skydiving. There is also shuffleboard, basketball court, bags games and a fire pit at night. There is a fun pool/beach area. The beach area has volleyball, hammocks, couple cabanas. There is also scattered seating all over the property so you can just relax and enjoy the view. The sunsets are beautiful!! The location is great. Couple restaurants within walking distance as well and you can get to stores within a 5-7 minute drive. We had an excellent time and look forward to visiting the property again! My son's description said it all when his uncle asked him how was your vacation. His response...."It was perfect!" and it was. Thanks Key Largo Bay Beach Resort for a great trip.

My wife and I stayed here Easter Sunday, checking in Sunday night and were warmly greeted by Christina and offered a champagne cocktail to start with. I have some frequent guest status with Marriott and Christina provided us with a fantastic room overlooking the pool and ocean. Since we checked in a bit late that night we ordered room service to take advantage of the beautiful view from the balcony. Our room service order was taken by Christina who offered some suggestions which we took. The meal was excellent and we throughly enjoyed our short trip. The staff and hotel are excellent and a special thank you to Christina who should be a Concierge Mgr given how many tasks she handled and how well she did them. The housekeeping staff made sure the room was well cared for. Considering how busy the hotel was over the holiday they should be give special credit for the job they did. We would definitely stay here again!

Nothing but praise for the team here at the Marriott Key Largo. We were made welcome and allowed to find the room for ourselves. Ample free parking right under our block at the hotel and right next to the lift too! In any weather therefore making travel plans simple. Our room was large, on the end and overlooked the key. Large balcony, massive elevated bed, television, safe and wardrobe combined, fridge and tea & coffee making facilities in the room. Shower and toilet were tucked away yet large to boot.
We straight away headed out to the Gus Grille across the way and immediately made friends with Doderidge who made our stay so worthwhile. This member of the team deserves much praise and oozed class with his service.
Great hotel offering a great deal for everyone. Would def return!!

Room tip: Higher rooms say on level three in the lifts are quieter I guess. Generally peaceful though.
