As all of us know who travel to the Keys, many of the hotels/motels have aged and many have not kept up. It is difficult considering the weather, but the Marriott has tried and is doing it best.
Comfortable beds, nicely appointed rooms, great bartenders and awesome staff who are all willing to help.
Great pool and food was decent, stretching to give it 4 stars, but compared to many of the other waterfront hotels is is worth the price.

Room Tip: Our room facing the roadway was a little noisy during the day, but died down at night, was worth the...

Somehow my reservation didn't finalize and they were full, but when I showed up late at night needing two rooms, they called all over the key to find us a great alternate, gave us near the discount price I had tried to book, and really went the extra mile for a platinum marriott guest.

Recently spent 3 nights at this property and are anxious to return. The grounds are beautiful! The pool, beach & watersports activities were wonderful. The entire staff was smiling and friendly (can't compliment them enough). We were celebrating our anniversary - the Marriott thoughtfully hooked us with a superb room w/awsome view AND a bottle of chilled champagne.
Highly recommend this hotel!

Spent 2 nights at the key largo resort. Our room wasn't what we requested, the manger changed our room, gave 2 drinks on the house, plus a chilled bottle of champagne as a birthday gift. The resort is beautiful, clean, bright, great pool with outside bar, Carlos and Matilda are great. Complimentary towels, plenty of chairs, also a small beach area. You can rent jetski's, dive from their shop. 2 restaurants, plus food poolside, Debbie a hotel hostess was always smiling, friendly. Meeting and greeting guest to assure their stay is great. The executive chef even passed out watermelon poolside. The pool entertainment was good, nothing loud, guest seem to enjoy it.

The views from the property was beautiful, bayside, with hammocks, loungers, shade and sun.

We had appetizers at breezes with a great solo singer, the drinks and shrimp were great, our bartender was Leah, great lady. I can't wait to return. I love this place, oh at 2:00 pm fresh baked cookies. Well worth the extra money, been to other places this is so far the best.

Not up to the usual Marriott standards. The beech/pool/common areas were nice, but the room condition was very disappointing. I even sent copies of the pictures to the home office and never got a reply...that is not what I would expect from a hotel of the caliber.

Nice place to stay. The staff was pleasant and rooms were adequate. Overall, our room was clean, however, I expected more from a Marriott.I guess you could say the place is starting to show the signs of a humid climate. The bathroom had been updated and was quite pleasant except for the stopped up shower drain which they did fix. Pool is large but beach is small, if you can call it a beach. It is man-made and the water is not inviting to swim in as it is very shallow and filled with eel grass. Hammocks on the property were a wonderful touch and each night we would do laps around the property which was very pleasant. Many water sport rentals available at the resort, outrageously priced, but fun. The snorkeling trip through Pirate’s Cove which is on the resort property was excellent but be warned, just because you are going to a reef doesn’t mean the water is not rough. Many seasick snorklers on the trip. We ordered lunch by the pool many days and the food was decent and reasonably priced for a resort. Gus’ Grille was very expensive for the breakfast buffet and not really worth it, however, we did have a nice dinner there. Parking spaces are extremely tight. We went at the end of April during a school break and never had a problem getting a chair at the pool or beach. Some of the property (below Gus’ Grille) looked shut down or abandoned.
